Agreed… glad there was only one pigeon encounter.

Wound up buying a ps4 copy of Cyberpunk (it was $9.99 at Target today/past weekend), now to ponder if I should wait for the full updates or not.

I own the game on PC but have sort of switched back to full console mode lately

The next gen (or is it current gen now?) update is allegedly being released this year. I’m waiting for that before I try this game again.

Sony is giving us three free VR games next month as part of PS Plus to celebrate their 5th Anniversary of PS VR.

Still no word on their new VR system for the PS5 though.

I got a question regarding games that are 'PS5 Enhanced".....is this something the Devs put in updates, separate from the normal PS4 one, you have to re-download or what?....since getting the PS5 I've just played like three games but frankly can't tell if I'm playing a enhanced version or not....Warframe stated awhile back "Enhanced for PS5 and XBox"...but I haven't seen anything telling me to DL a Enhanced Version...Back4Blood is my newest game and put it on the SSD...Warframe is on there too and yea it looks darn good....I've been playing some Destiny but it's on the USB Drive but I seen in the PS Store there is Destiny Enhanced for PS5 DL....

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

On the PS5, on a game that is a PS4 game “Enhanced for PS5”, there is a separate PS5 version, not the one on the PS4 disc. When you pop in the PS4 disc, you can see it as an option for a free purchase of the PS5 version from the PS Store, you then download it and play the PS5 version off your SSD with the PS4 game disc in the PS5.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

There are also "enhanced" titles that are actually the PS4 version of the game that just happen to be aware you're playing on more capable hardware. In these cases, the games don't have access to everything the PS5 can do (so no real DualSense functionality, for instance), but you can take advantage of faster loading times, a higher frame rate, a higher resolution, etc. The Last of Us Part II, Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, and the 2016 Ratchet and Clank are a few examples. For those, you don't have to download a separate version of the game or jump through any hoops. It should be automatic.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Yep. It either upgrades to the PS5 version (ie: Resident Evil Village, Warframe) or just runs better (but is still the ps4 title, like Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3) or is a little sharper without actually upgrading

You also have to watch which version you're playing. Every time Ghost of Tsushima got an update I'd boot it up and it defaulted to the PS4 version for some reason.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Does it need to be on the SSD or is the game seeing the PS5 hardware to know the difference?.....also do the enhanced versions run at 120Hz 1080p?.....

Does the upgrade version just add to the existing or is it seperate and same size...like do I need to say keep Warframe PS4 version on USB and DL the PS5 version on internal drive?

If there is a PS5 version, it has to be on the SSD. If it's a PS4 game that is just enhanced for the PS5 (i.e. infamous, The Last of US 2, Horizon Zero Dawn), you will see improvements with the game even on the external HDD (but not the fast loading).

. If it's a game with both a PS4 and a PS5 version, you only need to have the PS5 version on your system, though by default it will install the PS4 version when you put a PS4 disc in the drive. You can delete that. It's easy to install and play the PS4 version by mistake, though it's easier to tell which version of a game you are launching from the main screen now.
I know you have Outriders, pop that disc in and you will see what I am talking about.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

If most of your PS4 games were downloaded games (not discs), will the PS5 automatically download the PS5 versions.

Must mean "official" plates from Sony are around the corner; probably for double the price of what we've seen so far.

Not exactly a huge deal for those who want different color plates. Customize My Plates is selling them again, in multiple colors. It's the tiny PS like XO,ect spots that ran Dbrand into trouble.

Edit: Man the Gold one looks good.

Just got an email to register for an opportunity to get a console for the holidays. I hope that went to everyone who’s still on the hunt!

PS5 bundles in select GameStop locations. This damn thing has been out almost a year and it’s like playing the lottery

Thanks for the help and I actually felt like a idiot...thinking that games basically got a "Update for PS5"...with the console and game seeing each other and the improvements kick in. Little did i know you actually had to DL the PS5 Version....after figuring it out and DL both the Warframe and Destiny PS5 versions and moving the PS4 versions back to the USB drive I got settles in and got to play each. I can see the finer details and lighting in the PS5 version but I'm on a ASUA 32" gaming Monitor with HDMI 2.0 but the picture is darn impressive at 1080P/60Hz...I'd like to try a game that does 120Hz but so far I haven't seen real glaring differences.

However I'm already considering a NVMe SSD so is there a Official List as of now what does work or authorized? I saw a Samsung on Amazon, a 1TB at $109 (about $30-$40 off)...said PS5 but so did several others.

This is way up on this thread but here's the top SSDs from IGN.
(I went w/the Western Digital one.)
