The coin meters and mini-kits are in the levels, not in the open world space between the levels.

Re: Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga (PS, Xbox, Switch, PC - Spring 2022)

These are the Level Challenges and the requirement to get it that I have stumbled across so far while playing:
Chapter IV
Level: Boarding Party
Spoiler:
"I suggest a new strategy" - Defeat a Stormtrooper with their own weapon

I'm missing the other two challenges on that level
Level: Hunk of Junk
Spoiler:
"Chewie, Get Us Out of Here" - Find different ways of blocking the Stormtrooper reinforcements.

I'm missing the other two challenges on that level
Level: Best Leia'd Plans
Spoiler:
"Boring Conversation Anyways" - Break the console panel to cut off the Empire Captain.

I'm missing the other two challenges on that level
Level: Stay on Target
Spoiler:
"Hope That's Insured" - Destroy 10 Turrets while doing the trench run
"That's Not Going To Buff Out..." - Cause severe damage to Darth Vader's ship.

I'm missing one challenge on that level

Chapter V
Level: Hoth and Cold
Spoiler:
"Not a Probe-lem..." - Shoot 1 probe droid out of the air without them spotting you first.

I'm missing the other two challenges on that level
Level: Assault on Echo Base
I'm missing all 3 challenges
Level: Never Tell Me the Odds
Spoiler:
"Asteroid Evasion" - Avoid contact with the asteroids during the asteroid chase.
"Take Evasive Action!" - Complete the Star Destroyer encounter without being destroyed.

I'm missing one challenge on this level.
Level: Hibernation Station
I'm missing all three challenges
Level: Revelations!
Spoiler:
"Ugnaught-y" - Find all of the hidden Ugnaughts throughout the level.

I'm missing the other two challenges.

Episode IV
Level: A Plan to Save Han
I'm missing all three challenges
Level: The Copa-Khetanna
Spoiler:
"Boba Fett? No Sweat!" - Destroy one of Boba Fett's rockets while it is still in the air.
"Trick Shot" - Hit Boba Fett with a thrown lightsaber while he is in the air.

I'm missing the other challenge.
I'll post the other challenges as I play through the game but if you could do that too for the Chapters and Levels that I haven't played or missed, it would be appreciated.

If you are interested in getting the 100% Achievement and Platinum for this game, this site is doing most of the legwork in helping you get there. They have all of the challenges listed already for all chapters and levels.

https://happythumbsgaming.com/2022/0...evement-guide/

BTW, I tried doing one of the ship races and is going to be challenging for me as I'm having trouble figuring out the best route to hit all of the markers. It's one with the asteroids. I'm in trouble if most of the ship races are like that.

I finished Chapter I and I'm playing Chapter II. I guess I'm playing it based on the film release dates

Is it worth splurging $10 extra for the bonus character-packs?

It all depends on how fond you are of the DLC characters that you can use on Free Play and Free Roam. The levels are usually really short if they are similar to previous Lego Deluxe versions that I purchased.

Can you play as Luke walking around the island feeling like a sad sack?

Re: Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga (PS, Xbox, Switch, PC - Spring 2022)

This just has not been on my radar at all - I played the first few Lego games and they felt so much the same to one another (and geared primarily at children) that I quickly lost interest. I assumed this was just some kind of deluxe repack of other SW Lego games with some added stuff.

My 18 year old brought it up last night at dinner because he's seeing lots of online buzz about it. I might actually check it out myself, just to see if things have gotten better.

It absolutely does play better than previous Lego games.

I was going to grab this tonight but my GameStop was sold out. I was going to get it there because I have a coupon to use. Also noticed it was sold out at Walmart too.

Interesting article in The Ringer on the game and the high demands put upon those who made it.

Yeah, I posted the Polygon article that is being referenced back in January of this year.

I wish all games that are priced 60-70 out the gate had high demands to release a quality product. Unethical practices? No! They also couldn't afford to sully the Star Wars Lego brand with a lackluster possible final game.

Re: Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga (PS, Xbox, Switch, PC - Spring 2022)

I got the dreaded Maz glitch in episode 7. It basically makes Maz unavailable and it impossible for you to start the third level of episode 7. Now I can only sit around and do collectibles and such for the areas I have unlocked. I can't play episodes 8 or 9 until they patch it. Ugh!

Wow that sucks! The game has been out for weeks, how have they not patched that glitch already?

Have you seen this?

Re: Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga (PS, Xbox, Switch, PC - Spring 2022)

I hit a handful of glitches, but all the bad ones were during free play and I was able to circumvent all of them by either retrying with a different character/class or going and doing some other stuff and coming back.

This was pretty much all I played in April and I just hit 100% completion on Friday night. It’s easily the best of the Lego games, though it does fall into the rut of having more to do for the sake of having more to do. Still, the humor remains decent throughout and clearly a lot of love went into its design.

I think that only works while playing on a PC. And that is a really weird video. What is up with the voice, the mini screen at the top, and the synching of the screen to the audio? All around just a strange video.

Re: Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga (PS, Xbox, Switch, PC - Spring 2022)

I played this game for a solid week and half when it was released but now I have been "distracted" with work, sports and movies but I need to get back at it. Getting the Platinum seems like it's going to be a long ordeal but fun. My goal is to finish sometime in July or August as I will have some free time then.

Are they gonna make money on a glitch fix? More than on DLC? If not, then you have your answer.
