Wow. At first I thought that tweet was making fun of the disappearing ladder. Than I thought it was making fun of the WWE twitter/youtube plug. But no, then it gets worse. Much worse. The walking on knees had me rolling.

The games in the past 10 years have been a parallel to the company itself: trying to force shit on the fans whether you like it or not. I decided to stop buying these games around 7 years ago. Every time I played the demo at Best Buy it felt to complicated to have fun.

2K fuck this up so badly that they sent the CE editions that included an Edge autographed photo without the autographs. Edge is being pretty cool about this and renting a PO Box so fans can send him the photographs and he will autograph them and send them back. What a clusterfuck

Apparently, it didn’t sell. Rumor now is that WWE is not doing a new fame with 2K and are looking at different developers.

Yeah, honestly there doesn’t need to be a new WWE game yearly anyways in my opinion. Doing it every couple years and maybe DLC packs for new looks/characters would be fine.

Off topic but I’ll be curious to see how AEW’s eventual game will be. Something more akin to a modern version of the THQ/AKI WCW/WWF games from back in the day would be nice.

The games under THQ weren’t all perfect, but I feel like they’ve gotten substantially worse under 2K. The best one they’ve done was the first one (WWE 2K14), and I think I’ve read that was basically just a carry over game with some updates done so I don’t know that 2K have done a really good WWE game yet.
