I beat my goals quickly. I was able to do the Eye for an Eye mission completely stealthy. I just hid in the bushes and assassinated the guards as they made their rounds. I was also able to take down Talos. It took me two attempts though.... He surprised me when I was doing a mission and was still level 4 and he killed me. I ran from him and completed another mission which leveled me up to level 5 and I was able to take him out after that. I did have to Spartan Kick him four times though....

I'm really enjoying this game and the open world exploration. I was working on the mission at Odysseus' Palace and saw an open area to the North. I went exploring and found a Nymph Cave, bandit camps, and some level 6 chickens that tried to fight me.

It was a rainy day, so I stayed in and played the first chapter of the DLC all the way through. Good stuff, even though it was short and no new areas - hopefully the subsequent chapters improves on that.
I also became the #1 mercenary - surprised there's no trophy/achievement for that.

That fight took me forever too lol I haven't tried to take out any other of the legendary animals since. Still too scarred from all that dying.

The amount of content in this game is staggering. I don't know how far into the MSQ I am (In Chapter 5, I believe) but I feel like I still have half the game to go. Just now ventured to the southern island with the Arena.

The big pig is weak to knockout/stun arrows... make sure you overcharge them when you can. And lots and lots of dodging. :)

This is the third time I've posted this - that wild boar everyone's having trouble with... have a mercenary (ideally one higher level than you) follow you to the boar's layer, get the merc in front of the boar and they'll start to duke it out. Hang far enough away so that they fight just themselves and won't attack you, and you can take care of the smaller boars. Once the fight between the boar and the merc is over (if merc kills the boar, you'll get the credit as you loot it's corpse), the one left should have very low health, easy enough to finish off quickly.

This sort of problem solving is why I love open world games that don't force you to do things just one way.

That seems like a fun method to use but I imagine it's more trouble that just killing it (unless you're REALLY having trouble). Leaving the area; getting a bounty; then going back while a merc follows you. Maybe easier than I'm making it seem? I died a good few times but it only amounted to like 15-20 min total time spent.

Though I do agree that being able to tackle things differently is a big plus. There was one story part where two people both want a leader dead but want you to go about it different ways (I don't recall the full details). Basically I had quests for each person to handle it differently. I just went to the leader house full force, stealth killed my way through and murdered the leader. Instant quest completion for them both. lol

I already had a bounty with a merc tracking me when I decided to go for the boar, so it was no hassle.

I played for 13 hours Thursday thru Sunday and I'm only 11% thru the game.... I may not finish this game until 2020. I did explore everything in Kefalonia and Ithaca though. I don't like the naval warfare so far. I'm finding the ship hard to control, but I also had trouble with the eagle starting out and I'm much better controlling and scanning now. I'm sure I'll like it more as I get more used to it and upgrade the ship.

Seriously, this game has never ending content. I've put in so many hours yet there's still almost half of the map I haven't even been to. And I'm still enjoying every moment of it.

For reference, I did every side-quest (though no bounty-board quests), all synchronizations, all main story quests (family/atlantis/cult) - took me 110 hours - I did kinda take my time, but not too leisurely. While my map is all uncovered, there's still tons of "?" on it.

I went through all the ? areas in Kefalonia and found a bunch of wolf caves where you had to take out the alpha. In Megaris, I've been doing some of the bounty board quests. You have to take out some mercenaries on some of them. I'm debating going through and looting all the Athenian bases before I finish Megaris. I've done all the main mission quests. My only thing left besides Bounty board quests is to get the treasures from the Leaders House and the base on the port. My next main quest is to join Stentor and the Wolf to push forward.

I finished the port base and the leader house. I also did my first conquest mission. It was really fun. I used a heavy axe that I won from beating a mercenary and I sliced through 40 Athenians like butter. Episode 2 is finished and I'm on to Episode 3 now. I'm still only at 11% complete though.

I played for an hour today and got a message that a new Seven Samurai style quest was available. It said go to your quest board to find it. I went to the quest board in Phokis, but it wasn't listed. Is there an online ubisoft quest board that the message was referring to?

The new patch is out. I just downloaded it. I won't have any time to play until this afternoon. I think I haven't made it far enough in the game for the Seven Samurai quest yet. It looks like it's one of The Lost Tales of Greece.

Also:

· Headshots no longer guarantee critical hit and base headshot damage has been increased

· All damage increases from perks are now additive with each other (some were previously multiplicative) to reduce high-damage spikes in specific gear situations
I haven't fired up Odyssey yet (my backlog is 8 games deep, and I haven't gamed at all this year!), but I'm a little disappointed to hear that I can't snipe everyone with my bow from afar like I could in Origins.

I killed the legendary boar! I was at level 14 and the boar was at level 13. I started out with the bow and arrow and then I used charged heavy attacks with my spear. I died three times before taking him out though. I had to use my second wind skill to heal often and I would use the ring of chaos to stun the little boars and take them out.

Grats. I ended up going with a spear for that fight as well. Stupid boar.

So I downloaded the update today and I see I got 30 ability points added. Level 70 reset XP back to zero, but fair trade. I am going to start the new DLC and see how much the level up is now at. Hopefully still not 25 million per point. Managed to finally get that last ability and using it will get me very close to platinum for the game. Will report back on the new DLC.

I see they have now added the level scaling option. I noticed it when I was in my ship and I was literally destroying any ship with one to two hits. Funny thing is I hadn't changed anything in the settings or menu. I have been playing on Hard for a while now and will probably end up turning level scaling off to keep the game challenging. Nice to have the option though.

And I am only one trophy from platinum for the game. Almost through the final quest on the list and will achieve that today.
