Anyone else checked these out? Essentially they are mini versions of arcade cabinets that run multiple games. I think they pretty cool and wouldnt mind picking some up like the Street Fighter 2 and Final Fight onesbut not sure what I would do with them. Im sure they run on MAME also so you can probably hack them. Cant find any pics to upload so you have to check out the website.

With the addition of Tron this past weekend, I think I'm done for now, especially with the space I allocated for these cabinets. Any future cabinet will require a move to the basement which will entail painting the walls dark blue, adding in recessed black lighting, and some crazy neon patterned rug.

Yeah, I was looking at these last week. Walmart had them available for preorder at $299. I didn't realize you had to do a bit of work to put them together though. I'd dig the Street Fighter one as well, but I don't think i'd end up using them that much over just playing on a regular console.

I got excited when I first saw these, but then I saw how small they are. The screen is only 17" and the cabinet is something like 2/3 size.
I would love a full size one that I could pop my Raspberry Pi in.

I am very interested in these. I already have quite a few real arcade games, but I'm really digging the look and price point of these. Of course the riser will be absolutely necessary, otherwise these are ridiculous.

I'd mostly be interested in the Centipede cabinet, as the track-ball is something you can't recreate on an emulator - I also have a soft-spot for Crystal Castles.

You can find plans online for how to built one yourself. It's not as hard as you might think.

If I was to get any of them the Pac-Man would probably be it. They’re pretty cool but part of me thinks if I really wanted a cabinet I’d be happier with a real one though.

The choices for the Capcom one are kind of odd. I think they should have chosen Ghouls 'N Ghosts and 1941, as those were released on the same CPS hardware as the other two games and within the same timeframe. 1944 didn't come out until 2000.

I saw these in Walmart last year and at first thought they looked cool, but once I felt the stick and buttons it put me off right away. They feel very cheaply made. After saw some of the Raspberry Pi gaming boards sold by a local company here and they were slightly better, but also felt cheap. I was going to go through route of a home made system using a Raspberry Pi, but after reading up on the NVidia Shield I think went with that. Its superb and does so much more than just games.
These things look cool, but don't live up to the high cost.

I don't know Bad Dudes but I played the shit out of Burger Time back in the day. When I was a Pediatric resident at Long Beach Memorial I would sometimes be up all night and when I had some downtime (waiting for labs or admissions or stuff), I'd play that game as they had a machine in the Pediatric Oncology waiting room that was, of course, empty overnight. I wish that was the artwork on that machine. I would buy it.

Re: Arcade 1UP
I ended up finding a SFII for $200 a couple weeks ago. I figured that would give me and extra hundred to upgrade the innards. I went the ETA Prime route and I'm pretty happy with it. To be clear, I'm someone who doesn't have the tools/woodworking/space to build my own. With the decent LCD in the cab, I feel like it was well worth the money. My 5-year old has discovered that the X-Men brawler is her favorite game of all time.
Of course, once I posted what I was doing on FB, I had a friend with all the above ask me if I'd help him build one and threw out that it would be pretty easy to build two full sized cabs since we'd already be doing one. Now to work on the wife as to why I need a second machine/sell the first and reinvest.

I would imagine NBA Jam would be a non-starter because I'm sure the NBA Player Association license deal would have long-since expired and would be too expensive now. And I don't even know if you could license all those old players if you wanted to. They're not part of the NBAPA anymore.
I can't think of any old sports games with licensed players that have been re-released with those same players still included.

Defender is all about the controls, and the Rampage control panel wouldn't cut it, for me.
Then again, I have a Stargate machine, so I'm spoiled in that regard.
