^^ I had to search for it in the store. The free version that showed up for me in the PS+ list showed at PS4 logo. As mentioned above, you want to download the one that has no logo. If you've already done that, then I got nuthin'.

I got the PS5 version working. I had to go into the game tile itself and select "game version" to be able to select the PS5 version. You can't select it from the 3 dots for some reason. Also disappointed to find out I have to start all over.

I feel let down. I was told this game was revolutionary. It is good and fun but nothing amazing. I can see some cool light effects but I don't see how this is being benefitted from enhanced version.

I haven't seen anywhere mentioning Control was "revolutionary". Sounds like you never played the regular version of Control even on a PS4 Pro dipped into single digit frames constantly where the whole game would lock up and had insanely long load times so the enhanced version is a gigantic step up from the base game.

Apparently the PS5 version takes advantage of the adaptive triggers. That's kind of a neat feature for a game nobody has ever talked about on this forum.

What is this game?

I played a little bit of it. I saw that there are lots of game play assists offered, but they admonish you not to use them, saying it's supposed to be a difficult game. I eventually turned on the aim assist because I kept dying really early and it was pissing me off. It looks like you can make it as easy as you want and even make yourself immortal. I am not looking at any of that stuff, I just found aiming a little hard without health regeneration to fall back on once I started taking damage.

I made it as easy as possible and plowed through the 10 story missions in no time. I didn't feel bad at all about it since they made us start all over again on the PS5 version and I was well over 50% done with it on the PS4. I really like the game and the atmosphere, but don't like some of the enemy battles and feel like they can overwhelm you in an unfair way by just spawning close to you and getting the drop on you. Also, their aim is way too spot on. Anyways, I still don't make heads or tails of this story.

I put maybe 2 hours into this and wasn't impressed. The controls/aiming don't feel natural at all. Hard to explain but it feels like a ps1/ps2 game in that regard. The first "boss" fight required nothing more than hiding behind a pillar and shooting between the two things that he throws at you....every time, on repeat. Also not a fan of the decision to have the character continue standing when you're hiding behind something then pop up to shoot. You should duck back down after shooting but you have to re-hide in this game.

Yes, the having to take cover again is bad. She just stands there like a dead duck when you pop up to take a shot.

I just had a crash on ps5, luckily it was just after hitting a check-point. hope it doesn't become a habit. I'm loving this game though...

The further I go in this game the more crashes I have. It is really pissing me off

Replaying it on PS5, myself. Haven't had it crash yet. Forgot how much this game sucks rules. :)

Just beat the main story. I liked the story more than the game, if that makes sense. It is like a mash up of Dark City and that JK Simmons show recently called Counterpart.

I am this close to skipping reading any more collectables. They are not entertaining me and I find these inter-office memos tedious and pointless.

I haven't read one. I don't need to spend time doing that. It is an annoying game feature.

This will be the first optimized game I play on Series X. I really have to see these load times. I mean not much to do anymore, so not sure what I’m going back for, but I guess it’s the load times...

I wish the audios & videos you could listen to in the background or a PiP, so you could move around. hate wasting multiple minutes without moving.

well, you can move a little around area and still hear or skip and play them from your menus later.

I don't read all the collectables, but I do like that they add to the overall aesthetic of a bureaucratic agency full of things like monotonous paperwork and idiosyncratic training videos.

Aesthetic, I tell you!!! ;)

Re: Control (Remedy) - PC/PS4/XB1 - 8/27/2019

beat the main story. I had started to get frustrated with the difficulty spike. But I think its really the Side Missions that make it hard. I went back to Main Story, and flew through the last 3-4 without much difficulty. Looks like not too much left for the Platinum, so I'll probably try that. it looks like it doesn't require every side mission to be completed. The Board quests will probably be the hardest part.

Re: Control (Remedy) - PC/PS4/XB1 - 8/27/2019

A heads up on the Board countermeasures and Bureau stuff. Try to do them as you work through missions. I made the mistake and had to grind them out after finishing everything else. Got the platinum but I hated traveling back and forth to get a handful of enemies to appear. You need to do 25 board countermeasures for that trophy. Also, some of the Bureau alerts can be tough.
