That almost looks like they started working on a sequel for Quantum Break, and then Microsoft said 'No Thanks' due to the sales performance and reviews from the last game. Which would also explain why it's not an exclusive this time around. I wasn't a huge fan of Quantum Break (and that final boss fight can still go eat a dick), so I hope this one is better.

Big announcement coming tomorrow. Keep an eye on @controlremedy on Instagram at 12pm EDT.

The obvious conclusion would be that Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne will be coming to Xbox Backwards Compatibility on Xbox One later today. Both of the games have been available on Xbox 360 as Xbox Originals since 2009, and they can be downloaded through the buttons below. Credibility has been added to this theory with the appearance of these games in the Microsoft Store in several new regions since the teaser tweet yesterday.
Other more outlandish theories include the Max Payne games being remastered in HD, or being included as a pre-order bonus for Control. There is also the hope of a completely new Max Payne game if Remedy has managed to wrestle the IP from Rockstar. What do you think?

I would give anything to have the Max Payne Trilogy remastered(Yes I know 3 was Rocksteady but still).

I'm pretty sure I'll get this this Friday. It looks great, and sounds like it's pretty decent. Should be a nice game to fill the time between now and Borderlands.

I'm totally unaware of this game. Seems pretty below-the-radar.

^ Maybe so.

I played two hours of it last night, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There's a couple issues (the map rarely pops up as it should... life regeneration is... ehh. There should be a "dive" move to avoid getting hit, but maybe that comes later...) but overall, I'm having a good time with it. It's got some of Remedy's tried-and-true charm.

I'm about 6 hours in now... gained a few new abilities, including "evade" which addresses my complaint above (though that should have just been a standard ability, IMO), and others that I won't spoil for anyone
This game is great. It has some warts, but I love its style and it's doing a good job of keeping some mystery to the whole story. Folks on other forums have said... be sure to play the side quests. Apparently much like Fallout New Vegas, there's a lot of fun to be had in the side quests. There's "timed" ones that I've been avoiding... the enemies are just too difficult to kill off this early into the game, in my opinion.

I'm about 4-5 hours in and it's great so far. 1000 times better than Quantum Break. I didn't realize this game has a season pass with DLC story content coming. I just noticed it on the PSN store.

Ya I’m liking this game a whole lot too. It’s story is weird and quirky and is keeping me engaged so far.
I dont know know how far I am into it, but I suspect it’s not very far since I just got my first side mission.
I do wish the controls were a little tighter though. Everything seems a little loose and flimsy, but I’m getting used to it.

Well it's $37.49 at
and https://www.target.com/p/control-playstation-4/-/A-54647415 today, after 5 days, so that is certainly in play.

The more I play this, the more I like it. It’s the most Twin Peaks game I’ve played since Deadly Premonition. Gameplay wise , it’s a much better version of Quantum Break...but the story & presentation are just outstanding.
