If I'm not mistaken, that was a limited-time event/crossover.

Re: MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: Xbox One X / PS4 Pro

Went from ~4 hours of total playtime to 13+ hours in the last 24-hours.

Really enjoying the game thus far. So many stressful moments

Re: MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: Xbox One X / PS4 Pro

Beat the Main Quest earlier today.

Now I'm going to dig into a lot of Side Quests & Multiplayer to farm materials for better equipment.

Re: MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: Xbox One X / PS4 Pro

I have sunk in about 90 hours roughly now. I'm HR 12 I believe, dragging on progress to be honest. But then again, I can only really play that particular game on the weekend because its the kinda game you can't just pick up for 20-30 minutes. It's a 2 hour dive pretty much every time. But it's still loads of fun even if I just play with random others.

Re: MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: Xbox One X / PS4 Pro

Currently 55 hours in, HR 32.

Multiplayer is a whole lot of fun. There were a few battles that I definitely needed a Party backing me up

I managed to beat Geralt's level/monster (solo) with less than a minute to go. That was stressful.

Hit the 75 hour mark and am currently HR 50.

Time for that long grind to HR 100!

Re: MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: Xbox One X / PS4 Pro

I caved recently and picked up the Iceborne: Master Edition.

That way I can give my original copy of Monster Hunter: World to a friend and continue playing the Base Game & Expansion.

Currently at Level 54 with about 90-91 hours clocked in.

Re: MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: Xbox One X / PS4 Pro

Finished the main story last night (110 hours in) and immediately jumped from HR 15 to HR 29. Lawls, guess I was grinding a bit much. I'll probably put it down for a little bit (mostly cause I had to use the main tv since that's the only one with a good internet signal for multiplayer purposes and the wife wanted to watch her shows) but it was extremely satisfying. I haven't been this happy with a 100+ hour game since Skyrim.

Re: MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: Xbox One X / PS4 Pro

Decided to stop grinding my HR (currently at 54) as it doesn't effect damage output or increase defense.

Started Iceborne, slowly playing through quite a bit slower than I did the Base Game.

In Iceborne, I didn't realize your MR & HR both increase as you progress through the Main Story. That's pretty awesome.

Currently at MR 5, with a handful of the new monsters down. Definitely challenging!

Definitely going to echo that Iceborne is challenging (but fun)!

One particular monster I either die at last second or run out of time.

I realized that I had been using a weapon that is fairly weak against it, so I'm back grinding out High Rank Missions to get enough materials to forge a Fire Element Long Sword.

Re: MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: Xbox One X / PS4 Pro

I think I've made it to the last part of the Iceborne (Main) Campaign. I believe my MR is at 21 and HR at 64-65.

The new monsters definitely ramp up the difficulty.

One recent one in particular took me about 8-10 attempts before I was able to beat it. In-between all those attempts, I was out on Optional Missions, looking for materials to forge items that would hopefully make the fight a teeny bit easier.

I'll probably touch Iceborne once it goes down to $20 since I only spent $20 on the main game. However, I am now close to 130 hours in, HR 61 and still learning things from session to session. And honestly I still think I suck lol. But I'm having fun sucking if that makes sense.

It definitely makes sense!

That part of the game is why I love it. The more you play the more you discover about it which helps your hunts significantly. It feels endless.

Yesterday, I found out how to remove a player from my Quest/SOS, which is particularly helpful when you notice one player eating up all of your allowed Faints too early. I haven't even begun to dig into the (Custom) Food System in the game, although a friend has and says it's a bit insane.

I beat Iceborne's Campaign earlier today, so I'll probably focus my time on getting more Weapons & Armor, as well as jumping back to the High Rank/Low Rank Events for Weapons & Armor I originally missed during previous events.

There is a story that you need to get through and it is essential that you do so in order to get to all of the really good stuff at the end. But it is a slog unless you have somebody willing to babysit you through all of the quests because it will require you to do a lot of grinding in between for crafting good equipment. It is an extremely fun game once you get some knowledge of what's going on. But getting there is a bit daunting because there is no paper guide and the videos personally have never helped me that much.

Re: MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: Xbox One X / PS4 Pro

Where do you start off in beginning of Monster Hunter: World? Bc I bought the Iceborne expansion last night, haven’t played original game yet, but on boot up screen it says Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, not just Monster Hunter: World, so I was a little confused. Does original start you in Astera? Just want make sure I’m starting from beginning, which I know you can’t even play Iceborne until finish, I believe. Just thrown by game title. Thanks.

Okami Collaboration for Monster Hunter Rise (Nintendo Switch)

It's a simple gathering quest and if done with a party of 4, you can get 3 tickets to put towards the Layered Palamute Amaterasu Armor. Only 4 are needed.
