I'm not particularly impressed by this fall's releases so I'm focusing on clearing out my backlog. Hopefully I can find Shadow Of War for around $25 on Black Friday.

Mario Odyssey - Just entered the cloud kingdom. Taking my sweet time with this one. Should have it completed by 2020 ;)

Assassins Creed Unity- Returning after quitting years back. Wanna get this and Syndicate finished before jumping into Origins.

Horizon Zero Dawn- Finishing up before the Frozen Wilds hits. Forgot how awesome the game is :)

I just started Middle-Earth: Shadow of War a few days and I'm hooked again. Loved playing the first game and this game feels like an extension of it, which is good in my book, with some addition.

I had to stop playing Horizon Zero Dawn but I'll get back to that game eventually.

Spent the weekend hacking away at the really old backlog. Worked on Fallout 3 and Dragon Age Origins.

Origins has aged really well. The graphics still hold up, and I am just amazed at how so many dialogue choices drastically affect the storyline in really interesting ways. Sad that Bioware couldn't do the same for ME:Andromeda. I've tried twice to get into that storyline and it just doesn't do it for me.

I was going through one of my old threads and I remembered the photobucket nonsense removed all the images. This annoyed me so I just fixed them. Would someone look at the thread and let me know if they're showing up alright?

I was really enjoying this for 3 hours or so and then the death mechanic (one of it's big game features) broke the game for me and I can't progress. Basically when you die your body reanimates and keeps all your weapons and powerups. You start in a new body back at the save point with no powerups and your base gun. You then need to go kill your old body and get your stuff back. This was no problem early in the game but I'm now far in and I died in an incredibly hectic area with lots of enemies constantly spawning along with me trying to kill my old self and because I have no powerups or weapons I die in two hits. Everytime you die it creates another body so now besides the constant enemies I have multiple of my old bodies shooting and throwing grenades at me. This has literally made it impossible to proceed.

The game saves automatically when you die so I can't go back to another save either. My only option would be to restart the game from the beginning. Fuck that.

I liked but not loved the original Frog Fractions. I just spent about an hour playing II and didn't care for it at all. I enjoyed Glittermitten Grove more.

Now moved onto Hidden Agenda.

I just got a PS4 and plan to buy this game. Are you still having issues with the "death" mechanic?

I'm in a spot where there is nothing I can do to proceed other than restart the game from the beginning and I'm not going to do that so I'm done playing the game.

I highly recommend if you do still play it to make a copy of your save file each time you save so at least you can go back to that if you get in a situation like mine. There is a good chance you won't run into the issue I had. I just happened to die in the most inopportune spot.

Something about II really hooked me. It's hard to explain, but I had a lot of fun with it. The only point in which I had to seek outside help was triggering the end game. Oh well, I'm glad you gave it a shot anyway.

Oddworld Abe's Odyssey Remake (Xbox One)-

I remember playing this back on the PS1. Could never get past the second level I ended up rage quitting :lol:

Thankfully this remake Is a lot easier and the quicksave feature is a huge positive. I'm already halfway through and loving the art style.

Overwatch (PS4) Just got this off of the sale going on. Will be jumping in for the first time tonight :)

Yakuza 0 and Mario Odyssey.

Both are unique. But seriously wtf is Yakuza 0 :lol: one second you're fighting teens, the next drunks, then you're drinking in a bar singing karaoke and getting style tips and being told how to best use women.
