So my pre-order is going to be here today from Amazon and was wondering if anybody else is playing it. It looks fun from all I've seen even if the combat isn't traditional JRPG combat. But I try to support all of the XB1 JRPGs I can since we don't see too many of them unfortunately.

Preordered it, but had a family emergency and had to go out of town and haven't had a chance to play. I'll probably replay the original first before I get into this one, but I'm looking forward to getting to it... eventually.

Re: Valkryia Revolution XB1/PS4

Played it for a few hours on Friday and Saturday. I will warn anybody playing it, the first hour is a ton of cut scenes and you get to fight maybe three battles. After that it does cut down considerably, but it is a lot of story and that might turn off some people.

Also, I hear a lot of people comparing the fighting to say Dynasty Warriors. That's not entirely accurate. To me, Dynasty Warriors is manic button mashing fighting, there is no real rpg element. Valkyria Revolution plays out different, it's more finesse and spells and a little fighting over here and a little fighting over there. Maybe it ramps up, but so far it's more about strategy than hack n slash.

I do wish there had been a paper game guide sharing the game's release date. Even a manual would have been useful for reference. It's probably blasphemy but they could have dropped the darn pin and gave me a manual and I would have appreciated it more. But great game so far, seriously.
