Some terrible Google Translate-Fu (jaw-cropping ):
Quote:
Need for speed, One of the world's bestselling video game franchises, returns with a vengeance in the new action-driving blockbuster need for speed payback. Set in the Underworld of Fortune Valley, you and your Crew are reunited by a search for vengeance against the House, a nefarious cartel that rules the City's Casino, criminals, and cops. In this corrupt gambler's paradise, the stakes are high and the House always wins. Play a variety of challenges and events as tyler, the racer; Mac, the showman, and jess, the wheelman. Each driver must take on races, missions, and challenges to earn the respect of the valley's underground and compete in the Ultimate race to finally take down the House. From insane Heist missions to devastating car battles to jaw cropping set piece moments, need for speed payback delivers an edge-of-your-seat, action-driving fantasy.
Full reveal in about an hour.

Looking forward to another terribly acted NFS 'plot'

Ghost is the team that has some (all? most?) ex-members of Criterion Games, yes?
I wonder how Burnout-like this will be. (I haven't watched the trailer... yet)

Is anyone else getting hyped for this? Since Forza and Gran Turismo were let downs this year, I'm really looking forward to a fun arcade style racing game, so I hope this one delivers. I took a chance and ordered it through Target for the B2G1, but will wait to hear some reviews before opening it.

Not really. NFS was once one of my favorites but last few have been blah. All the story stuff is just so hokey. I just want Underground remade.

That's the best part! The cut scenes from the last game were full of cheese, which is the only reason I finished it. The game itself was pretty bad though.
I think the best mix is Most Wanted, the launch one for Xbox 360. Fantastic game with just the right amount of cheesy cut scenes. Bring back Razor Callahan!

It didn't really sound like they improved that much over Forza 6. Just added loot boxes and made it more about collecting cars. There are also no Toyota's since the manufacture pulled the licence (same with NFS), so no Supra. I'm sure it looks good on XB1X though. Hell, there wasn't even enough interest here since no one bothered creating a thread.

Yeah. It's fine but underwhelming. And it is stricter when it comes to payouts and rewards. Cars are now divided by tiers and if you don't have enough lower tier cars, you can't even get a better tier of car (excluding DLC which seemed to unlock those higher tiers associated with the cars you get in the pack). It looks and drives fine, but after the fun of FH3 + Hot Wheels, it seems like a letdown for sure.
