Gamespot gave it something like 4/10, so I'll be skipping for now as well. But this $400 CE?!? Jesus Christ

Gunfire Games has rolled out a new Darksiders III patch for PC, which is due to come to Xbox One and PS4 soon, adding a new 'Classic' combat option. This should address criticisms from certain circles that the new Darksiders game doesn't play much like the previous two entries in the series.
The Classic combat mode "should feel more like previous Darksiders titles allowing Fury to dodge interrupt her attacks as well use items instantly," the developer states. Upon starting a new game or loading a save, you'll be able to choose between the original 'Default' mode or 'Classic', and change this setting at any time during gameplay.
Whether you play Darksiders III in Classic or Default mode, it'll have no effect on the game's difficulty level or achievements. The patch also adds improved ledge grab detection, various optimisations, new items available from Vulgrim, more checkpoints, a level cap increase to 200 and rebalanced leveling post level 80.

Thought I’d point out this is included in Target’s B2G1F sale and is currently $40 for Xbox and $50 for PS4. There were a couple other $40 items in the sale I wanted, so I took the risk at ~$27. Hopefully they’ve patched some of the problems that got it so savaged by reviewers, as I really enjoyed the first two in the series.

You could find Spiderman for PS4 similarly priced within a few months of it's release, and it was anything but a bad game. I don't think this dropping to $20 nearly 7 months after release is a testament to it's quality, although it sound like it's considered mediocre at best. If anything, it probably should've been around this price much sooner.

I haven’t been able to settle into any games recently, so I figured I’d put my Origin Premier to use and downloaded this last night. I haven’t been able to start it and honestly doubt I’ll stick with it to the end, but I just have to start clearing out my “games to play” list.

LOL I gave up after 10 mins. The very first boss (playing on SUPER easy) makes you run around and do some acrobatics, leaping from ledge to ledge and swinging your rope. nevermind that this is really the first chance we have to do all that ... and you have to do it in a time limit, or she does this huge attack that takes over 50% of your health. So basically, if you miss jump twice, you die. And I did. And it sent me all the way back to the beginning. NOPE. I'm done. I hate bad design like that. This may in fact be a sign that I am getting too old for action games. Back to candy crush, I guess
