I had to call it a night before I hated myself too much in the morning. Really looking forward to playing more tomorrow night. And that intro was one of the coolest things.

Relax man. It's a new release with millions of copies sold. What do you expect?
Played last night for about 3 hours. Good so far. The wait to get started was less than 20 minutes and I never had any issues afterwards. I gues it techinically was a SP game since I did not party up with anyone lsat night ;)

The demo was gorgeous on my plasma. Hooking this up to the OLED. I'm probably more excited for the picture than the game itself. :lol:

Ugh, I can't read all that! What does it mean that there's no single player. It's a MMO shooter right? Are they forcing you to group for EVERYTHING? Or is it there's just no offline option?

No offline play. Most missions you could play by your self if you wanted. Some missions require a fireteam of 3(they will auto match you) Some missions require a fireteam of 3 or 6 and they will not automatch you.

Campaign (before getting to the loot grind and the major chunk of the game) is roughly 8 to 10 hours.

I'm going to buy this and get sucked back in aren't I? The reviews mostly agree that its Destiny with a lot of the annoyances fixed. I did have a great time with the first one....even when I wasn't playing and Scott had to push my character forward in the raids.

Yes, but you still need to be online and have PS+ or Live Gold, or whatever the online payservice is for the console you're on.

You quickly find out what they mean by pushing people to explore by not giving out sparrows. This place is huge!

I find myself wanting to look down every alley, or sewer, wooded trail to see if there are hidden areas

I got a sparrow out of a bright engram last night

Can use shaders on the sparrows, pretty cool

Be careful. Two of us equipped shaders for them last night right around the same time and didn't realize it cost about 12K glimmer to apply them. ouch.... :lol:

Glimmer is very easy to come by this time but still.

I need gold to get online? Does it need to be 24K or will 18K work? What if I prefer to invest in platinum or silver?

Played for a solid 4 hours last night - it's pretty great. Though I had played both Taken King and Rise of Iron, and Taken King had definitely already started them down a better path. It's taken me a bit to get used to the new stuff, as I found myself sort of mainlining through the story more than I usually do since that's the only thing I saw to do. Took a little more exploring and paying attention to find side missions.

Also had a hard crash to an error code at one point during a mission, which kinda sucked. Other than that, really enjoying it.
