you can still get "most" stuff and participate in "most" events from a particular season even once it ends
there are some events that are based around holidays or seasonality (ie. spring) that are limited time events that may have only lasted a week during a particular season that you will have missed out on

Planning on jumping from PS4 over to PC. I hear it's an excellent port that runs great on even older/less powerful machines, and the higher fps on most PC games makes a ton of difference to me.

I might have said or thought...."I'll go back to Destiny when Hell Freezes over"...well, The Devil himself was probably eating a bowl of Ice Cream yesterday when I bought the Digital deluxe Forsaken that's on sale thru 9/17.....mainly to help out a friend who got it and thought another was getting it but didn't. We were there day one on D1 and then sort of went ways solo and groups with D2 and slowly let D2 fade away....

When I say we and mainly me...are like way, way back that's an understatement. Looking at the current level...around 750....we might as well be a 1000 miles away. My Titan and Hunter are at a pathetic 250-270 Light Level 20 while the other day I dusted off my Warlock...who I never started in D2...ran the intro and got to The Farm...which is totally abandon & vacant getting at Level 11. Where I stopped until I can figure out where to go, what to do next. My friend also has a Level 1 at The farm but her main is Level 37 at 340-350 something.

I actually sent Scott a message who gave me some advice and tips but I hadn't bought the Digital Deluxe yet and was still unsure. Now that I and my friend have it....we're in need of a bit of guidance....maybe like Road Map....on where, what, when and how. Both our Level 1 characters obviously don't have our abilities yet and I cannot remember just where I was with my other two but think I did the storyline with them. We have The Boost but haven't decided on which character to use on and how it works. I personally never did Osiris and Warmind which came with The Forsaken bundle.

I appreciate any tips and guidance from the experts here for us to use....thanks

Update...we just jumped in and started doing the Bounties, Patrols and Public Events. Last night we popped the Booster and played for 4-5 hours...did 20 Bounties, probably as many Public Events and Patrols along the way. It actually felt pretty good to play again but still rusty....I started off at Power Level 285 and Light Level 21 and finished the night at 318 and Light Level 32. Friend is 352 and Light Level 42 so we'll keep plugging along....we haen't thought about doing any of the other stuff yet...should we like Strikes and Nightfall?

We don't know what or how...but Mars is not showing up on my Map...but for her it is. She did do Osiris and part of Warmind...I have not done either. As far as I know, I did the story/campaign with both my Titan and Hunter. We were talking about what we see in the Tower and hers is different than mine...I cannot join her while she's in your Tower. To open up Mars do I need to do Osiris?

I haven't leveled in a while but if I remember correctly the main story was kinda linear. It takes you from world to world. You can level up just from doing bounties, patrols and public events and even pvp. But you will miss out on a lot.

If ur on PC... hit me up Asset#1172. I just came back after a long break myself. Still love the pvp.

thanks but I'm on PS4...Last time I actually played was several months before The Forsaken dropped and haven't been back since....till now. Seriously...last night was the most I'veprobably played destiny in almost a year

Pre-order Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and receive Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind to begin playing today.

We went with that Digital Deluxe since it had everything including the modes which I heard was sort of needed like Gambit and others. I find it a bit odd they add Osiris and Warmind in the mix. But then again doesn't or won't Forsaken be free with New Light?...and won't you still need the Season pass to play all the extra stuff.....

Forsaken endgame won't be part of New Light. You can visit the patrol areas / strikes / Gambit and PvP maps. You can't do the story / exotic quests / raids.

This will probably be the pattern for all expansions going forward.

It's been a week since getting the Digital Deluxe Forsaken....and been the most I've play D2 in over a year. I know for many it's no big deal but yesterday I knocked out Osiris and Warmind (two of us on that one)...both I found to be fun to play. Day one my Titan was 275 and light level 20. Last night I closed out at 448 and light level 45. My co-op pal went from 303 and light level 29 to 425 and light level 50. Tonight or tomorrow we start The Forsaken and looking forward to it.

Question on Mars....Wesaw a lot of these small triangle floating spheres that said, "Need Data Decipher" or something like that.....what are those? Also we saw quite a few on Mars doing something about being over-ran by Infected, had these rising platforms...first time we've seen that by my friend said a lot go there to farm and run that....is it something special?

We've been offered a lot of quests now since we've opened the map...but we assume we need to skip most and get in Forsaken and finish that....that's the advice from one friend.

I took the plunge and ordered Forsaken at Target today. It was under $19 with store pickup. I figured it would be fun to jump back in after taking a few years off.

Now I just need to figure out which box my PS4 and headset is in :lol:

We've hit 522 and 530 now and still going thru The Forsaken story which has been fun. We've done two "Barons" and a few of the Hit Bounties. So far we've been impressed with all the new stuff including how the Public Events work but we haven't really got in or looked at on the resources, their use, crafting, upgrading, etc....Is there something with The Dreaming City that ends shortly? Someone mentioned to my co-op friend about we need to get to the Dreaming City but might not make it in time or something like that?

The Dreaming City works on a 3 week rotation (Weak, Medium, Strong). We are currently in the strongest week. There is a dungeon called Shattered Throne that is only availbable during the strong week. Also, if you finish the Offering to the Oracle bounty, by doing Blind Well, you can get some lore when you visit the Queen at the end of the bounty.

If you miss it this week, it will be back around in three weeks.

Thank you Roy....oh, on the Eververse Armor from Tess...is there any use for it now? We've got a few pcs lately...along with lots of resources....we're a bit clueless as what to do, use, throw out, keep....
