I had a lot of fun with first mission as the Avengers. Seamless integration into each different character. Same button presses of course, but different powers.

Loved it all, especially Hulk smashing and jumping and wall running. One of my favorite games was on GC Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Loved that game and only one played a little when I wrongly but worked hooked up gamecube to tv. It was tough, but it worked. I actually popped in and played a little. Would love to again, but Hulk in this felt similar.

I love the combat and I know enemy variety is lacking and not sure you can even upgrade a character any way. Are the enemies really dull? Are there boss battles of any kind?

Anyway, so far love playing as these iconic hero’s I love and I think game does justice to them portrayed in the movies. A lot of fun. Camera could be better and I don’t think HUD, just that objective tracker button, but minor…

For all intents and purposes, anything you spend money on in this game will just be costumes and things like that.

Update: I found a ten hour play through of the main story and watched the first 30 minutes. I can see what all y’all are saying about the repetition.

I’m now about 90 minutes into the play through and have decided to just watch the rest of it over the next few weeks and save myself from the experience of playing it.

It’s okay so far. I hope it picks up a bit more. There’s a lot of ground to cover.

Completed the main campaign today. It's an ok game but since it's like Destiny, I'm not gonna waste anymore time on it. Loved playing as Kamala and even though I hated the loose controls on Iron Man, I played him the most (around 85 power level compared to like 37 on Kamala), because I just wanted to get to the next point quickly and could fly away if I was about to die. Bullshit leveling up more, just to die more. Was burnt out the end, only did main missions so didn't do any side stuff or DLC . Maybe someday before it gets pull from GP, I'll go back to it.

We’ve seen the last new content. Final update will be coming at the end of March. Support officially ends on September 30th, and it’ll no longer be available for purchase. And all cosmetics will be free, so there’s that.

What makes it "dead"? That there isn't new content coming along? I mean, at this point it's $15. I'll probably get it and even if I only play it for 3-4 hours, that's still the price of a fast-casual lunch or an evening movie ticket. That seems more than fair.

I believe it's going off servers in September which will make it unplayable for all.
I could be wrong about that, but I don't think I am. It's a live service game like Diablo 3 or Destiny, meaning it's always online.

Support will discontinue on September 30, 2023.



Will I still be able to play the game solo?

Yes. All content that is available for solo play will continue to be available after September 30, 2023.



Will I still be able to play with my friends?

Yes. Multiplayer will still be accessible after support discontinues on September 30, 2023. Multiplayer will continue to require Xbox Live Gold on Xbox platforms and PS Plus on PlayStation platforms.



Will single- and multi-player play be available forever?

The changes we are making to how the game functions will ensure as long a life as possible. However, after September 30, 2023 we can’t guarantee that we will be able to address issues that occur due to unforeseen circumstances.



What happens between now and September 30, 2023?

The game will continue to run as it has until March 31, 2023. At that time, Update 2.8 will launch with the game’s final balance changes and all Marketplace, Challenge Card, and Shipment cosmetics will be made available to all players for free.



What happens when Update 2.8 goes live?

On March 31, 2023 with Update 2.8, we will give all players access to all Marketplace cosmetics, including every Outfit, Takedown, and Nameplate that were previously purchasable with Credits. In addition, all cosmetic items previously earnable through Hero Challenge Cards and Shipments will also be made available to all players.



Will I still be able to buy the game after March 31, 2023?

Yes. The game will remain available for purchase digitally between March 31, 2023 and September 30, 2023 and at retail while supplies last. No new digital purchases of the game will be available after September 30, 2023.



If I buy a pre-owned copy of the game on disc after September 30, 2023, do I get all the free cosmetics?

Yes, everyone who owns the game will get access to the same suite of free cosmetics.



If I delete my digital version of the game, can I reinstall it after September 30, 2023?

Yes, if you own the game before September 30, 2023, you will be able to reinstall it after that date. However, as noted above, after September 30, 2023 we can’t guarantee that we will be able to address issues that occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

Yes, they will run in a rotation every two weeks.



Will any new stories, features or Heroes be added to the game after Update 2.8?

No new stories, features or Heroes will be added to the game, and our final balance update will occur with Update 2.8 in March.



Will there be any additional bug fixes after Update 2.8?

We may deploy bugfix patches after Update 2.8 and before September 30, 2023 if needed, however we can’t guarantee that we will be able to make any changes after the end of our support for the game.



After September 30, 2023, if something happens like my save game gets corrupted, who do I contact?

After September 30, 2023, we will no longer provide support for Marvel’s Avengers.



What support will be discontinued?

After September 30, 2023, we will no longer add new content or provide customer support for the game. In addition, Marvel’s Avengers will no longer be available for purchase.



What about Outfits that are earned in game through Missions or Challenge Cards?

Cosmetic items will still be earnable via the cosmetic vendor, mission rewards, and patterns. All other cosmetics will be granted to players for free.



Is anything happening to the cosmetic vendor?

No, the cosmetic vendor will remain.

I read on another forum that they majorly buffed all the characters as part of this last update, making you feel more like superheroes against all those interchangeable robot minion-types.
