This is the weirdest press conference ever. 1, 2 Switch looks awful. And ARMS looks like it would get old real fast.

Yyyyyyyyeah.... I appreciate that they're selling the unique aspects of the Switch better than they did for the Wii U, but I'm not bowled over so far.

The funny thing is that there was a 4Chan leak everyone laughed off, but they're 3 for 3 so far!

I'm giving this new system Fingers, but only the middle one. I have zero interest in Switch after seeing what they've shown so far.

Getting a Splatoon update? Cool.

(... and this press conference is boring)

Arms looks like garbage.

oOo... Splatoon 2

1, 2 Switch looked like an iPhone app. "READY... SET.... FIRE!"

GTA Mario!

... and now we're getting Super Mario Open World? Weird.

Splatoon 2 looks kinda samey, as much as I love the first game. Super Mario Odyssey is killing it.

re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

So what is going to be ready at launch?

Super Mario Odyssey is Holiday 2017.

Splatoon 2 is Summer 2017.

Even the demo games are coming later in 2017.

... what are going to get to play?

So far I'm not seeing enough to get me interested even after there's been a price drop. There'll need to be some absolutely stellar third party support for me to bite after the Wii and Wii U.

Frame rate on Xenoblade 2 is a little questionable, but the game looks interesting.

I suspect Fire Emblem Warriors will be a Dynasty Warriors-style game since it looked like Chrom was the character shown.

Of course, I'm excited about finally being able to play Dragon Quest 10 and 11, and looking forward to a console Shin Megami Tensei again.

The couldn't-give-a-shit translator cannot keep up with Suda51. Awesome.

Yeah, these translators need to be fired. Ugh.

That sega guy just came out to say they're considering titles? Didn't they already show a sega/atlus title they could have saved for him? Kinda sad.

Travis Touchdown....

What... the... fuck.

About as cool as Thumb Wars on the iPhone. ;)

... on another note:

Looks like the guy at Grasshopper just came on stage to say, "Hey look, we drew this character... and we are going to put him in a game. We don't have a title in mind yet, but he looks cool. Oh, his name is Travis Touchdown!"

:yack:

(Oh, I get it... he's from that one game I never played that had the flourescent-light-bulb-sword-weapons.)

He said more, I'm sure, but the translator was totally lost. I don't know why they didn't just say "No More Heroes 3". Too much of this is laughably far off on the horizon.

So what's the launch lineup?

1-2 Switch
Skyrim
Zelda
???

Preorders start January 21st.

re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I love how they're, like:

When is Zelda coming out?
When is Zelda coming out?
When is Zelda coming out?

Throw it back to Kimishima, and he doesn't answer the question at all. I'm sure they'll say it's a launch title after the trailer, but still...

They didn't make a case for picking the Switch up at launch at all. Some of this stuff we won't even see until 2018 or 2019.
