Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
How about they just allow you to backup your game saves to the memory card that most people have in their system? What is so damn hard about that? I don't want to hear nonsense about save file hacks. Man up and make it happen.

Not a Pokemon fan, but this is cute.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
That looks cool, I could see myself getting it for my daughter (so I can have my Switch back), except there's no freaking way to transfer her saves to a new machine.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Nintendo seems immune to price drops or bundle deals in the past decade, so I imagine this will be $400?

https://kotaku.com/nintendo-announce...les-1828935510 There are two bundles, one each for the Pikachu and Eevee versions of the game. Each comes with a download code, a brown and yellow Joy-Con, decal decorated Switch dock, and the Poké Ball Plus peripheral that lets you pretend to capture Pokémon as if you were a real trainer. That last bit is $50 on its own, raising the total price of the bundles to a hefty $400 (a savings of $10). |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
My son is a huge Pokémon fan now. We went to the Pokémon Store in Tokyo this summer. He spends hours trading for rare Pokémon all over the world. He thinks the Poke ball controller is beyond stupid. He has no desire for it at all. I bet he'd love that system but I'm not buying a second one.

New Super Mario Bros U? Was that an original WiiU game or a remake of the Wii game?

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I like that Smash Switch. I’ll definitely be grabbing those wireless NES controllers. Also pretty excited for Luigi’s Mansion 3!! I’ll also be grabbing New Super Mario Bros. U.
|
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Super excited for New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. It's probably my second favorite 2D Mario behind World. They also added my favorite Mario character Toadette.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
As someone who didn't bother buying a Wii U, i'm excited for New Super Mario Bros. I love that series, and have always preferred the side scrolling Mario games.
|
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
More Wii U ports. Yippee.
Hopefully Luigis Mansion 3 turns out good, that's at least one thing to look forward to. |

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
There is an Animal Crossing iPhone app, (which is actually a great idea given how it works with visiting towns, mobile games, etc). But SHIT YEAH finally. A real console game, I’m in.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Great. now my wife is going to take over my Switch. She plays the iOS animal crossing game every day

The only thing I'm worried about is Nintendo screwing up the save ability. I'm not sure why their being so stupid with it but I'd like to have the ability to play two different towns with the same switch but I seriously doubt that that will happen since they seem to basically treat the switch like a handheld when it comes to game saves and their stupid one save state per game per system policy. What happened to being able to at least have three different save slots? When did that go away?

I have my one year subscription code from Best Buy but when I try to redeem it, I get a 'This Product is not yet Available' message.
