Re: Resident Evil 7

Played it throughout the weekend and had a blast. Got the dirty coin so it will transfer with my save file to the full version. I found this to be more enjoyable than the RE action the series was taking.

No save. It's up to you I've finished in 15 minutes or if you want to solve everything it could take an hour.

It was actually kind of nauseating (at least for me). As long as I was standing still, it was really cool to look around in the rooms. But once you start moving more than a couple steps, it really started to hit me. I stopped after about 5 mins because that's all I could take. It was creepy as fuck though.

Re: Resident Evil 7

This made me more nauseos than any other FPS and not in the good way. Will try for the true ending sometime, but I seem to always get infected...

Re: Resident Evil 7

I think the TV spot that's been airing has been pretty good. Wish I could play this in VR.

Played the demo at a friend's house. This was my wife's experience.

Re: Resident Evil 7

Is this game scary though? I just got done finishing outlast and the whistle-blower DLC and it was hands down the scariest damn game ever - I had to get in the right frame of mind before playing it lol.

Is this anywhere near that level??

I think it's a lot more creepy with the headset then on a TV screen. But like I said before, I got pretty nauseous playing it that way. And since I ended up sending my headset back anyways, I'll play through it the normal way. Since this is the first Resident Evil game done in first person, I'm sure there will be plenty of jump scares.

BTW, did you play the Outlast 2 demo yet? I just played through it over the weekend. That was pretty damn creepy too.

Cool thanks. Didn't know about that outlast 2 demo either - will check that out this weekend.

Re: Resident Evil 7

I've played this demo a couple times and not really sure what to think. It doesn't feel like Resident Evil at all and seemed like it would be a better side story and should not have the 7 next to it's title. Good for Capcom for trying something different but time will tell if this is another nail in the Resident Evil series.

On another note, how could Capcom miss a golden chance to do a series overview book for it's 20th anniversary? The Tomb Raider series got a really nice one and Resident Evil deserved the same.

yeah feel the same, tried it 2 weeks ago (XB1)... but BB is trying to temp me on getting, because they sent me "Here's $10 off any purchase just for you – use by 1/28" email yesterday. (funny how it expires 1 day after the release) + with GCU it will be $38 before tax.

Honestly I want to know more of the REMAKE for part 2, hope it's still being developed and going smoothly.

Those Resident Evil remakes/re-releases are about the only thing Capcom has that are selling well so those will continue.

Re: Resident Evil 7

So I played the teaser demo and really liked it - thought it was nice and creepy and I dug the nod to the blair witch.

Question though, the demo I played was very limited - it ends once you open the back door - but yet online I see people doing a ton of other stuff. Do I need to pay extra for something else to play more or are there very hidden secrets to unlock more stuff elsewhere (which I don't think so)?

Re: Resident Evil 7

There are multiple endings to the demo depending on how many secrets you found throughout the house.

Like what though - I searched everywhere, tried combining items, etc... will have to go back and try again but I'm not sure there is anything else to do.

I did see that there is a separate download for a biohazard extension....do I need that?

Re: Resident Evil 7

There was an update for the demo for VR support, but I don't believe that added more endings. You could probably use these guides to find the secrets.

or just watch the YouTube video

What does that special dirty coin or something do for you in the full game?

Spoiler:
first playthrough I followed everything... got the tape and watched it for secret passsge to get key. Then I tried to escape through back door and got caught.

So on 2nd try I skipped everything and went straight to the secret room and there was NO KEY, since I didn't find the tape. But there was the fuse to switch power on, so then I was able to turn on elevator to the attic then a fucking monster killed me

didn't try it again.

Re: Resident Evil 7

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is coming to Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere program. Gamers who digitally purchase the game can play it on Xbox One or PC without needing to buy an additional copy.

As part of the program, gamers can save progress, DLC, "Gamerscore and Achievements to Xbox Live," and continue their game on "another Xbox One or Windows 10 PC."
