Yeah, that's not much though
Hey, the name of the fire appeared both in conversation and as on-screen text! What more do you want?

And the game has been out for about 8 months now...
I was disappointed by such a significant spoiler, but at the same time, it set my expectations when things actually got to that point. Since I already had some idea of how things would end, I wasn't as disappointed as my wife was with the way the game ended, although she was intrigued enough to blast through Firewatch on her own. The dialogue she heard was very different, and there was also a different doodle of Henry. ...and, yeah, she had a different name for the fire as well. If anyone wants a physical disc but missed out on Limited Run's sale, some more copies are being sold directly by Campo Santo. |

Yeah regarding that spoiler, it's literally the end of the game. It's a little disappointing that it doesn't go the other way, but for the story, I can see why they chose that.
There's also a vinyl release of the soundtrack on Campo Santo's website. I haven't ordered it yet, but I'm considering it. I bought too much vinyl in 2016, so I really need to take it easy considering everything I'm waiting to arrive already. |

I thought it was applicable... if anything, your reply was pretentious.

My my, someone's a bit sensitive, both in this thread and the other one.
When your video game includes film clips from Russian directors, you get the pretentious label. |

I'm surprised this was on so many year-end "best-of" lists. Average game, at best.

Not trying to sidetrack this thread but if you liked this game then you should try Virginia. It is in the Playstation store. I started playing it yesterday. There is no dialogue in the game but you play and FBI agent trying to solve a case. The music is pretty good.

This has been on my radar for a while now but I missed the Xbox sale last week and just know that the second I pay full price it'll show up as the next month's free game with gold.

Yeah, I was wanting to pull the trigger during the sale too, but I'm doing my best to keep from adding to the unplayed pile until I get through some more games.

Re: Firewatch (PS4, PC - 2/9/2016)
Finised this last night on the X1 - I really liked it, as average as the graphics were, there were points when the game just felt real like when you're approaching the girls in the lake and you can hear the music rumbling in the car.
Things get creepy there for a bit too but unfortunately that tapers off. Scratch that, I loved this game - it was just different and while very frustrating at times with the navigation - it's pretty cool how you start to get familiar with the layout. Hope they make a sequel. |
Re: Firewatch (PS4, PC - 2/9/2016)
Started yesterday and finished today. Liked the game, but wish it was longer. All of the sudden you skip so many days and it ends. I wanted more and bigger caves to explore and such. Woulda like finding secret places and other people and such. Loved the creepy small moments. There were some confusing/odd conversions/dialogues that I'm not sure what was what. Was Delilah real or not. What did Henry really discover or learn about himself. So he was there to get away since he didn't or couldn't see his sick wife, so... Cause even at the end U are able to pick not to change your mind on going to visit her, even after Delilah told him to go see him. Just seemed the fire, weird girls, the paranoia of being watched and heard & such didn't accomplish anything different in his life.
