Yeah, with the latest changes, it's REALLY tough to always finish GW. I finish about 50% of the time now, and I have nearly three 7* teams I can use. Even when I do finish, my last 7* team is pretty beaten up.

I need help in trying to figure out who to maximize for my characters. Also any suggestions for the possible lineup squads for Arena and GW will be appreciated. Any comment/advice/critique will be highly appreciated.

You want to use Lumi for GW, get her to 7*, she's you #1 priority with GW shipments. Geonosian soldier is a really nice heavy hitter from the Cantina shards. With Cantina rewards shipment QGJ is your choice.

So work on Luminara and Geonosian Soldier first. One is Cantina, one GW shipments, so they can be farmed simultaneously and you'll use both for a long while.

In the end game, most players find themselves always using Phasma, QGJ, Royal Guard and Leia. I'd focus on them over the others just for the long game.

A good GW and Arena team would be Phasma (lead), QGJ, GS, Lumi, RG.

I don't see you having Rey...you should consider getting her when you can. She's a VERY heavy hitter and you'll always find a place for using her while you're farming. I also found Old Daka necessary if you want to complete the Dark Side battles and her ability to stun characters comes in very handy.

I have seen the screenshots and conversations of the make up of the teams and I saw that Rey was integral. I'm 20 shards away with 800 credits to purchase 10 shards when she come up.

I actually waited a LONG time to get Rey and then once I did I realized how much I was missing out. She's now my first fully maxed character and pretty much the ONLY one I refuse to let die in a GW match because I don't want to go on without her. She's just too good. You'll get to the point where she can one-shot kill some characters, which is always a great way to start off a match, instantly making it 5-4.

Only thing about using her in GW is that you want to end each node with her cooldowns refreshed because you need that one-shot kill ability available right at the start of the next node.

Today I got wiped out halfway through, and of course it's on a guild activity day. :(

I have earned Rey, though, so I guess I need to start using her in GW.

Luminara and Asajj are now at 6* and counting.

Yesterday it was easy for me; today I got wiped on the second to last, so I'm two nodes short. Have to say it's VERY discouraging to not finish GW each day as it's 1) a HUGE time suck and 2) our main source of advancement with credits, etc. I know they want it to be challenging, but some days it's just not even possible. :(

Honestly, this is when I love being part of this guild. Being able to take part in the rewards of these uber raids makes up for some of these other shortcomings.

davidh777--Rey, Lumi and Asajj will all be great in the raid, I'd think. You'll notice a difference.

I always make it to the last node in GW... only to be DESTROYED for three straight rounds of level 75+ characters at 7*s each. Ridiculous.

I did get my last two Rey shards today... now I need $1M to level her up to 7*s. She's already at level 80.

PS - a fully stacked Clone Trooper 5's is ridiculously over-powered. I wonder if he and Rey will eventually be nerfed?

Last node again today. Every single one of my heroes was wiped out in two hits... four rounds of characters against all Level 80's and I was obliterated. This is beyond frustrating.
I've only been able to complete 22 GWs so far.

I find it funny that I can't see this from the thread Wiki if I am logged in. Anyways the thread wiki has a good listing of best farmable characters.


I can't stress enough how correct the others have been about getting Lumi, Phasma, GS, QGJ and Rey. an A team like this will go far in GW. I think I started off with a lineup similar to yours and my A Team is comprised of Phasma (L) Lumi, QGJ, GS and IG86 while my B Team is Phasma (L), Teebo, Rey, Savage Opress, and Talia. My kryptonite are High level droid teams.
I like finishing GW so I don't push too far with my arena team (Phasme (L), Sid, JC, GS, IG86) and lately I hold between 250-300 though lately I rarely lose.

As far as GW goes I have a system that allows me to have a easy opponent in node 12. I run my B team for the 1st 5 nodes and 7 or 8, my A team handles 6, 7or8, 9 and 10 then I field my best remaining team in 11. I use no more than 11 toons and usually I lose no more than 3 total. I always have a weak opponent in node 12.

I haven't even unlocked GS... guess that'll be my next toon. I hate facing a fully stacked Leia. She gets 4-6 shots off at a time and levels most characters.

I think he's referring to Leia getting off 4-6 shots at a time. I think the max she gets is actually 3 shots, but on the right team, because of her TM and buffs from others, she can go twice in a row, which makes it seem like 4-6 shots.

Just faced a Leia in PVP and she got off 6 shots --- twice. Not 6 straight turns, but 3 turns with 2 shots each.

I just faced Leia in PVP and in her very first turn she shot, got a bonus attack (killing a toon), and immediately went again attacking a different toon, and got another bonus attack as well. 4 consecutive shots off vs 2 different toons. The 4 in that 4-6 statement is not inaccurate at all. I've seen it more than once. Whether it technically counted as 2 different turns for her or not, she attacked with 4 consecutive shots before any other character (friendly or AI) took a turn.

Thanks for having my back... I knew I wasn't crazy. I try to avoid a stacked team with Leia because 9/10 I get wiped out by her ridiculous "invisible and shoot you 6 times" move.

Sure... my point is that she's pretty devastating when used properly. She's easy to take out... but you need to get to her before she goes into stealth mode.

I just got enough shards to get her to 7*. Now if only I had the credits to actually get her all the way (well, and the gear too). Sigh... credits are my bottleneck... I assume for other non-whales as well? I'm literally swimming in sim tickets though, lol!

Credits are everyone's bottleneck.

I remember the good ol' days when I had 20M banked because I was sure they'd release a new "promote X characters" achievement.

I have characters sitting at 5* that could be 7*, but I won't promote them because I'd rather use the few credits I have for other purposes. Credits are definitely a bottleneck.

And really, energy is, too. Just not enough of either to get very far except over the VERY long haul...

Eventually(?) you won't need to spend much on daily Hard energy. I spend so much farming shards, but the character focus keeps shifting as I max those I need.

Yeah, I'm pretty much in that place now. I've got about all the characters I want (though I'm trying to get Lando). So all but a my daily requirement of Hard Battles goes to trying to get gear.

It's actually been nice that that's slowing down, too. About 6 of my characters are maxed out, which makes choices much easier.

Is it worth farming for shards on maxed characters in order to convert them in the shard shop, or is the return small enough that it's better to work on other characters?

The return is not worth it. Your better investment is new characters, or toons as Pinata is fond of calling them.

Once you max out all the useful characters in GW you will have many opportunities for spare shards.
