Pushing the "AUTO" button in the top left corner. That just means I let the AI fight the battle for me, horrible strategy and all.

After Sid, who is the best character in the arena store? I'm about 60 shards away from 7* Sid and just wondering where to go next. My dark side squad is definitely better than my light side, but the ls available characters look lacking on that side. Ackbar?

It really depends what you want to do next.

If you are not going for Poe (i.e., using catina for QGJ or Daka) then STH is a great tank with a taunt. Some folks on the forums like him better than Poe.

If you are working a crit based team (Sid is great for that), the combo of Sid's AOE followed by IG-88's AOE is devastating. I will upgrade my IG-88 to 5* tonight and he's already in purple. I cannot wait to see what he does in arena with that combo. Poe taunts, Sid's AOE, IG-88's AOE and it's 2 or 3 on 5 at that point.

Akbar is great but limited. Not much offense but great at debuff and dispells. He can turn the engagement around if, for example you are hit by a Sid/Vader AOE combo, Akbar can remove all that and heal with It's a Trap, but right after he's probably getting blown away.

So really, it depends what you want to do with your team. If she worked, I would say Ventress, but she's so bugged I'm staying away for now.

Decided to go with Poggle next from GW rather than keeping to level up Phasma. I'm using her less and less as a leader and I'm so close to full 5* on Poe/86/88/GS combo that I want to try a droid team.

Plus, I'm finding that star level is a bit of a trap (cue Akbar). Gear and Specials levels make so much more of a difference than stars, and it's a shard/credit sink. I'm finding more and more a deep GW roster is better than a top heavy one. Plus, I like projects, and I need another DS for more Vader shards anyway.

Oh ok. I got confused between auto (which I do also) and sim. I thought you meant there was a way to sim.

Speaking of gear and shards, I'm finding myself not caring about spending double energy when gear farming to possibly get a shard for a character to unlock/promote that I'd otherwise never use. Yes, I want to hit achievements for Vader shards, but it's so slow to gear up that way. Am I being stupid? Should I only do the hard battles?

Double edged sword really. The drop rates are better for hard missions for gear so you may be spending roughly the same energy at the end of the day. But I've largely stopped farming hard unless its for nodes I'm actively working on. But drop rates in general suck shit anyway so it's hard to know for sure.

The general rule for F2P (as I'm sure you know) is to use resources efficiently. If you are not going to use the shards you are farming, then you aren't.

Well, take this for what it's worth. I burned 60 energy on 5 hard missions. I got 3 of what was I was farming for and 2 character shards. Plus other gear I wasn't active on. I guess I'm convinced. At least until I'm not.

Because if I had spent that same 60 on 10 regular missions, I don't think I would have got more than 4 of the gear anyway. At least I also got some bonus stuff. Better than doubling up on ally points for almost-always-useless bronzium cards.

Seems to be Lando to Catina nodes.

Basic Ability: Deal physical damage to target enemy. This attack can't be Evaded or Countered.
Special Ability: Deal Physical damage to all enemies with a 35% chance to inflict Healing Immunity for 1 turn.
Special Ability: Inflict Health Down on all enemies for 2 turns, with a 25% chance to remove 22.5% Turn Meter. This chance is doubled against Jedi enemies.
Unique Ability: Grievous has +5% Max Health for each living Droid ally. In addition, whenever Grievous falls below 50% Health, he will force a random ally to Taunt for 1 turn if no ally is currently Taunting for him. If he does, that ally also gains 100% Turn Meter.

Who is better to use as leader? Sid Lumi Phasma? I tend to use Sid for extra crits as I seem to get more crits vs bonus attacks. Is Phasma still viable if not used as leader?

Yes she is. She still has turn meter manipulation and offense up.

I thought for sure it would be Cad Bane added to Cantina. Oh well. The power up bundles sound very intriguing.

Followed up with another 12-energy and three 16-energy battles. 0 gear and 0 shards. Averages and odds, amiright?

Grievous sounds insane. I wonder if he's going to be at the same 20:2 rate as everyone else in the shard shop and if his shards will always be available.

The rumor is that he will be more easily obtainable. 5:1 perhaps.

Also, he will be very slow and have bad health. Will probably synergize well with droids, but we'll have to see. Not too many folks are really all that impressed with Yoda either.

Hardly a relevant sample size. But for what its worth, I have gotten 3 MK2 Bacta Gels in 60 attempts. Bad RNG or what?

Yoda should be better than he is, but that little green muppet gets me through GW every day with no problem. I don't see a use for him in PVP, though.

With QGJ as leader, Yoda gets instant foresight which is awesome. It just sucks that you need to wait until the third round to distribute that to everyone with Battle Meditation because he will invariably lose it to an AoE in the first round. Or you need to use Battle Meditation immediately to grant Tenacity Up to everyone so they can avoid potential stuns and healing blocks out of the gate. Very slow cooldown too.

I wish this worked on DS. I'm getting massively tired of Talia being targeted nonstop by the AI and dying on the last frame.
