And I'm telling you, he's not even that good. Low health and low speed. Seems to synergize well with droids, but most F2P don't have 88 and 47 starred up where they need to.
I'm not giving up two months of building time for GG. He's cool but not worth it. |

Seems like you're doing just fine. Are you working on Talia and Chewie just through hard missions? I wouldn't do them through Cantina as there's always someone better (Rey, Kylo, Luke, Jedis for Yoda, etc)

If I try to bring them in just to weaken the opponent, it doesn't work cuz they end up getting killed in 1 hit because they're 10+ levels below the enemy. GW can suck my ass. :lol: |

Gonna finish JC & Mace in a few days, hopefully over the weekend. Not sure who I should focus on in Cantina. Options:
Kylo - 4* - 0/65 Dooku - 3* - 0/30 IG-86 - 4* - 0/65 (Just got 7 more from a Bronzium character prize) <s>3* - 23/30</s> - About to get 8 more from Daily and I'll switch to him in GW after Poggle is 6* GS - 1* - 1/15 Barriss - 0* - 9/80 IG-100 - 0* - 6/25 - Only because I seem to be building a droid/geo team anyway, but I think I'd much rather get HK and/or 88 from Arena. No one else really does anything for me. |

Not for nothing, another thing to consider is the token/energy ratio and if that makes any discernible difference in redeeming them.
21/12 = 1.75 17/10 = 1.70 13/8 = 1.625 When you are spending 360 energy/day, that yields 630, 612, 585 tokens respectively. So, if you are going for someone there, maybe it makes more sense to go for Barriss/Dooku (1.75) over GS (1.625). Just a thought for everyone :) |

I think my next GW project is going to be resistance pilot. I got him from a bronze and haven't really done much with him, but I've faced him a few times in GW and he hits almost as hard as GS. might be a nice plug in character for RNG manipulation on an assist from time to time. Working on Poggle now, and may sprinkle in a shipment of RP when I can manage to clear GW from time to time to see how he works out.

RP was going to be someone I went after when I thought I wanted a Resistance team. Since you have GS and Poggle, I think you would be happier with 86 due to the synergies those characters.
I do have RP at 2*, 49, G2, 3/3/3. If you do go for him, I'd like to hear if he was worth it. He has some sweet bonuses if he has the ability to not die immediately. |

I love my GS (5* G7 L62). He (or it?) is in my top3. I've seen 7k crits with him when Sid is the leader. His normal hits are above 2k. Definitely the hardest hitter on my current team.
But still would love Bariss and Dooku (just because he pisses me off so much when I face him). I have Dooku actually but just unlocked him. He will be stuck at 3* for awhile. |

I think people just don't know how to deal with Dooku. He doesn't have much HP, but his 100% counter and frequent bonus attacks piss people off, so if you're going to hit him, hit him hard. Typically, for me, a QGJ Harmonious Assault with anyone else followed by Lumi's Force Blast is enough to put him down.
The big thing with Dooku that people don't realize is that he gets a huge turn meter bump when he attacks outside of his turn. This means that you need to further minimize how many shots you take at him. Frequent, soft AoEs are going to backfire. |

That's an interesting tactic: see assist, retreat, move personnel, repeat. I never thought of that!
Typically, I leave Dooku for the end. I can tell you that Yoda definitely makes him easier to deal with. Yoda gets Foresight to deal with his counter and can also start the battle by giving everyone Tenacity+ to not only avoid his/Daka's stuns but Sid/Kylo's healing immunity. |

With two Cantina refreshes each day giving me 36 chances for Mace on 4-A plus 3 on a Hard mission, I get 10-15 shards each day. Barriss's 6-A takes more energy to sim, but she also has 5-C and 5-E DS Hard missions. If you're okay spending on refreshes, she should be within reach, easily.

There's a limit on how high we can climb in PVP each day. There should also be a limit to how far we can fall. Used to be comfortably in the 30s, now I have to struggle to get back into the top 100 each day. Bogus. I'm not going to spend crystals on this (yet).

I heard that the new "Rex" pack was released today. I didn't see it. That's when I found out the shit hit the crazy fan. At least I can rest assured that although I haven't been tracking it, I haven't yet spent $200 on this game:

Jesus. So these are the new character packs we were teased? If the buy-in is $200, they are not only catering to the stupid, they are stupid. Why wouldn't you price everything at $5? Why not 5-character themed squads for $20? Why not mass market? Do the whales truly spend that much on random pulls that they don't need the little guys picking and choosing?
I've already spent $42 on this game just for crystals. I don't know how often I'll do that. But if I could have spent $42 on a Jedi squad and a Droid squad I would be far more likely to drop more on a Rebels squad in the future. |

Arena is still a madhouse on my server. Top 1000 is about where you see all 70's teams, and my own rank fluctuates about 400 slots over the course of the day.

So I'm using two unique strategies right now: 1) Farming Poggle and Barriss but not activating them until enough shards for 5*. The reason is that these guys seem to be fairly common full character bronze pulls and since I don't NEED either right per se (for Poggle my droid team is still not quite ready and Barriss I'm getting primarily for Yoda) I figure it's worth it to see if I luck into a full character pull for either. That will put me fairly close to 6* on both. VERY low chance of it happening but worth the risk since I don't have to have either right now. 2) I just made L69 (yay!). However, the only daily rewards I will be taking for here on out are the GW reward (for the 5 crystals and 25k credits) and the card reward (for the 200 ally points). My rationale is that it will delay by a day or more my level rise to 70, where I hear many folks GW problems really start. This should at least allow me to finish unlocking Poggle before that happens. |

Unless they raise the max again (which is very likely given that there are references throughout the game of higher levels than 70) by the time guilds roll around (hopefully soon) we will all be max level or close to it.

I'm hearing that the level increase is coming sooner rather than later. Some grumblings that it will be around the time Yoda comes back around. There is a question as to whether they will raise it all the way to 80 or to 76. It will cost millions of credits to upgrade characters. Tens of millions. |

I'm getting to the point where every gear I need to craft requires 50 salvage. Across every character, sometimes multiple times. This is not going to be a joyful experience.
Also, I think I may switch from Poe to ST Han for my tank. Sure, he's not fast, but once he gets his taunt off, he's just speeding everyone else up. Either that or get 88 and HK. I'll figure that out in the next few days once Eeth hits 7*. |

I just 6* GS, man that guy is a beast. I have Dooku at 4*, I average about 2 shards per day for him. That's going to take a while, but I just love playing with him.
Gear is rough. I feel I have to progress the light and dark side battles right now to open up the battles to get the pieces. Right now I only have one person in purple gear. |

Which is what I have been doing. But if the cap goes above 70, I will want to be ready for the new gear levels too. That's why it's going to suck.

I'm convinced shard drop rate is inversely proportional to the number you have. Been stuck between 95-100 for Mace forever! Ready to finish him and JC and move on to GS.

I would like to see characters with passive abilities of increasing drop rates but are otherwise dead weight. Like "Jawa Scavenger" for gear and maybe someone like Mon Mothma for shard/recruitment rates. Similar DS characters, but I'm not creative enough to think of them now. Maybe either double the drop rates or give double chances per run, even resulting in 2 drops. That'd be sweet.
