I'm a little surprised they didn't try to go for a T rating.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

http://www.polygon.com/2016/7/27/123...feature-batman

Telltale announced a new multiplayer option for its games today: Crowd Play, an optional, in-game feature that will allow anywhere from two to 2,000 or more people participate in the action.

Crowd Play is set to make its debut with the first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series, launching Aug. 2. In a blog post, the developer explained how the feature will work. Anyone who can see a player’s screen — like friends, family or a livestream audience — can vote alongside the player using their phone or computer. This turns a Telltale game’s major choices into a team decision.

"Anyone with a cellphone or a tablet or any web browser can log online, enter their name and they’ll jump right into the game session," Telltale’s head of creative communications Job Stauffer told Polygon in an interview. "And the player, you’ll see on screen how many have joined, and players can weigh in and decide which decisions to make or which dialogue options they would like to be chosen."

There’s an option to start Crowd Play from the main menu screen, and players will be required to have a Telltale Online account to host a session. After activating the feature, others can hop in by entering a special game code into the connected website.

If the vote leads to a tie between the various options, the host will cast the final decision. There’s also a mode that lets the primary player cancel out the crowd’s choices at their discretion, while the other gives the audience full control over the proceedings.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

Evidently a lot of Steam users are having issues, including terrible performance. Wonderful. I was probably going to wait until the winter sale to purchase, so if there are some major issues, hopefully they'll be worked out by then.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

This looks good, but I think this is the first Telltale game I'm going to wait until I can get all the episodes at once. I was tired with having to wait months in between episodes for the other games.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

Forgot this came out yesterday but purchased the season pass and played through the first episode already. Fantastic game so far but I'm not looking forward to having to wait between episodes to see what happens next.

Spoiler:
Very interested to find out how the Wayne and Falcone families are tied together. Also found it interesting that in the game Bruce and Oswald Cobblepot (Penguin) were childhood friends. Also the Batmobile is pretty damn cool in this the way it transforms from Bruce's sports car.

Same here. It got to the point where I forgot to finish Fables, and would forget story details between episodes. I'll get the disc when it's all finished.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

Just picked this up. Figured for 20 with my rewards zone it was worth it. It's a fun game so far and about to start chapter 2.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

I keep telling myself to start this one. I picked up the disc a week ago and its sitting there, and not in my spinner with my other games either...in the freaking disc drive, lol. I got mine with a $25 Reward certificate from Best Buy (and $4.99 in cash ). so plenty worth it. The only sucky point is with the M rating, I have to wait until the kid is asleep and he's been falling asleep about 9:30 lately which doesn't leave me much time.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

For anyone that has played a Telltale game that was fully on the disc: Do the games still have that laggy bullshit during action scenes? Because that was pretty annoying where the video would just freeze up while the audio went on.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

This hasn't shown any of that and instinct recall any in walking dead either.

Do they have a release schedule for chapters 3-5 yet?

Also, Episode 1 is free on Steam right now and the full season is 15% off at $21.24 instead of $24.99. I might go ahead and buy it.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

I actually just played episode two this past Thursday and didn't realize episode three was coming this week. I'll probably play through it later today.

Spoiler:
The storyline is pretty interesting so far. Thomas and Martha Wayne are linked to crimes in association with Falcone. Mayor Hill also is part of that circle. It's been an interesting twist so far on the Wayne killings. Pretty brutal game too and earns its M rating.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

Yeah it seems like they're coming out fairly fast. Usually Telltale games take a while it seems like but we've gotten one a month since release.

On Xbox One (with Gold), the first episode is free and Episodes 2-5 are $13.39. I figured it was worth picking up now.

I got it on disc for the PS4 when Best Buy had it for $10.99 a couple of weeks ago. Looking forward to chapter 4.

Re: Batman: A Telltale Game

Finished the game last night. Really enjoyed it, despite the audio sync issues and consistent loading/freezing. Though that might be because I played it on my 360 instead of One.
