The Officially Official DVD Talk Rocket League League of DVD Talkers
Free on PS+ next week, and word of mouth from the beta has been phenomenal. Also cross play with PC.

Bring it bitches.
Reminds me a bit of our past shenanigans in The Quarry on Burnout Paradise.

Yeah, I mentioned this in the PSN thread that this is the sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, which was one of the early PS+ games available on PS3. It was fun to fool around with, but more frustrating than anything.

Forza 4 had a game mode like this. It was fun, for about 10 minutes. Hopefully though, this has more to offer.

I was coming here to make this thread. I played this game last night with Sauce and it was a blast.

This game is legit awesome. I played 4 games with some friends last night, and we lost 3 of 4 but still laughed our asses off the entire time.
The controls are tight, and even if I'm not good at it yet, I still had a couple of those epic moments that keep you hooked and wanting to master it. I had one particular last second corner save on goal that had my teammates yelling.
The customization options and car models are fun, and you get a constant stream of new options whether you win or lose.
I could see this being one of those one night per week games like we used to play on PS3. It has all of the goofy shenanigans of a Warhawk or a Burnout Paradise, and you don't need a ton of people to show up to make it work. I think 3 on 3 is probably the sweet spot.

I wasn't enjoying it at first, but once I figured out how to go into the Ball Cam mode, it was a lot more fun. I could see this being fantastic with six or eight people.

This game is so fucking awesome. It's kind of a "small doses" game, but I'll play it all generation.

Local co-op is dangerous! My son and I constantly throw pillows and stuff across the room trying to mess each other up. Such a fun game.

Anybody want to tentatively plan a group night of this for Monday shortly after 9 EST?

Very fun so far. Still trying to learn the controls. Driving the A-team van around currently. Awesome.

Recommend playing both the normal and advanced tutorials. These cars are cabable of some pretty crazy stuff.
I defy anybody to play this game with people they know and not laugh and yell.

I'd be up for it. Haven't played it yet, but everyone I've talked about it with has said it's a lot of fun. I know my brother would be interested in playing as well.

I'm definitely good for it. Loving everything about the game.
I haven't quite mastered the controls, which are surprisingly deep, but even if there's just a few of us, it would be fun to team up and take on the AI.
As always, wish Slider had a mic for this one.

This game is turning into my "I got 15 minutes to kill" game. I'm so glad it was offered on PS+ as that should ensure a nice player base for online games. I still suck balls at this game, but it's a fun suck. I should probably do the training stuff.

This game looks great. Sadly, I don't have a PS4 but I believe it has PC crossplay

Re: The Officially Official DVD Talk Rocket League League of DVD Talkers
I'm looking to get a group of 8 together tomorrow at 9PM Eastern. Anyone can host, I'm not intent on hosting it, but I'll be on as long as anyone else is. Don't sign up if you might end up playing that 11 month old game earning rewards you've already unlocked ten times before and will never actually use anyway instead.
Sign-up if you're likely by copypasta the list:
1. Slider
2. R2 (around 10PM)
3. Nic
4. Sauce
5.
6.
7.
8.

I love this game, but I feel like I'm not getting any better. I play against people who seem to really get the physics of the ball bounce, and car boosts down, yet I'm the asshole that still zooms past the ball when I'm trying to flip-kick it or take it from an opponent.
But it's fun to suck at this game, so I'm not complaining.
