There's another Splatfest this weekend: Autobots vs. Decepticons

Inklings… Roll out! The next Splatfest is just around the corner, and this time we’re pitting Team AUTOBOTS versus Team DECEPTICONS! From 9 PM PT on 8/28 through 9 PM PT on 8/29, join the fun, choose a TRANSFORMERS faction and start inking to support your team!

Figured I'd mention it here as well, Best Buy has Splatoon as their DOTD for $50 (or $40 w/ GCU)

Splatfest this weekend is Pirates vs. Ninjas.

Plus a few new weapons since was last posted: Rapid Blaster Pro, Custom E-liter 3k Scope, Custom Range Blaster, Carbon Roller Deco, Tri-Slosher, and H-3 Nozzlenose D.

We haven't played for awhile, but will be playing today.

Re: Splatoon (Wii U)

This game was one of the family Christmas gifts, and so far it's been pretty fun. A couple things I haven't exactly figured out yet, maybe because we haven't played enough:

Is there only the online battle mode? I figured there would be some different modes or some single player stuff the kids could do.

How/when do you use the amiibos?

There is a single player campaign and a local multiplayer battle, but couch multiplayer is just running around and shooting balloons. Pretty lame. The Amiibo are used for challenges close enough to the single player campaign but with restrictions -- say, limiting you to a single weapon the entire time.

There are different online multiplayer modes (although not all of them are available at once), but, yeah, they're online only.

This weapon will be added tomorrow.

Is Nintendo winding things down with Splatoon?

This tweet has pics of all 74 weapons.

Re: Splatoon (Wii U)

The final Splatfest will be Callie vs. Marie on 7/22. Given how little time/effort surely goes into setting up a Splatfest, I'm surprise the switch is being flipped off so soon.
