505 Games and ArtPlay are proud to announce the 'Bloodstained: Bloodstained Edition’!

For only $999 (or $666 for Kickstarter backers) true Igavaniacs will receive the game on the platform of their choice, encased in 0.5 liters of blood drawn from famed game creator Koji Igarashi.



Each pouch will be one in an exclusive, limited-number collector’s series, featuring handcrafted, laser-printed details like collection date, blood type designation, and a barcode of authenticity that definitely can’t be scanned for any hidden messages.

Quantity will be limited to 10 and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Although we are excited to offer this ultimate edition to fans everywhere, we do need to provide some disclaimers:

- 505 Games and ArtPlay accept no liability for any damages, injuries or loss of profit due to misuse of the Bloodstained: Bloodstained edition—including but not limited to transfusions, ingestion and attempting to use the game disc.
- Ships internationally with the following exceptions: North Korea, Transylvania, international waters, Antarctica, Pangea

During our Kickstarter campaign, the Wii U was at the height of its popularity, but the situation has drastically changed after the release of Nintendo Switch.

This change made it difficult to receive the necessary support from the hardware maker, which has led us to drop the Wii U development and shift the development to Nintendo Switch.

We are very sorry that it has come to this after all your support, but we hope you will understand. We would like to respond by preparing options for our backers, such as moving your pledge to another version or requesting a refund if you don’t want any other version.

We hope you will continue to support us.

How this will work for Kickstarter and slacker backers: The Switch version is now available as an option in the backer survey for anyone who has a physical or digital version of Bloodstained coming, replacing the Wii U version. (Just use the same link you were sent to fill out your survey initially; if you have any problems with your survey, or don’t have your link any more, we can help: e-mail [email protected].)

If you selected the Wii U version in your backer survey and you want the Switch version, you’re all set! The Switch version has replaced the Wii U version in the survey, so no further action is necessary on your part.

If you selected the Wii U version and you want to move to a PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Vitaversion, you can go to your backer survey and make the change now. (Click the "Change Your Survey Answers" link.)

If you selected the Wii U version and don't want any of the Switch, PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Vita versions, you're eligible for a cancellation and refund if you meet all the following criteria:

• You filled out your backer survey and selected the Wii U version prior to this update.
• You backed at an unlimited tier ($28 to $500)
• You are able to receive a refund via PayPal
• You submit your refund request before the April 20, 2017 deadline.

If you're eligible for a refund and backed at a tier that included two copies of the game, including the Wii U version, we can also help you adjust your tier to its single-copy equivalent. Refund requests will be processed via PayPal at a later date.

I don't mind them making the exclusive stuff available for purchase to non-backers, but I do have a HUGE problem with them gimping the physical release to backers, who will get less and payed more. They really should upgrade ALL backer copies to steel cases. Total bullshit.

Getting a sense of deja vu, but I'm wondering if it's like some kind of bot that cut and paste my post above or just someone that frequents both boards (which is fine, the post isn't anything special, I'm more curious than anything).

Got it in the mail today, and was able to play a little - up to the first boss.

It was fun, felt enough like SOTN to keep me engaged. You get gear pretty quickly, so that's cool

I do wish there was more sprite work, as the models, both characters and backgrounds, look too CGI-ish - too shiny! And there was one load time that took fucking FOREVER. Hope they fix that shit.
The dialog is just terrible. But yeah, game felt good, and fun to play overall. So far.

Well, to be fair, the idea of crowd-funding is mostly just to back/fund something.
Getting something for your contribution is always considered a bonus.
Essentially, you're supposed to see it as a charity, and the game as a thank you, not as payment for a game.
