I kind of have to chuckle at being able to grapple with ease everywhere like you're Batman or something, especially that it always manages to unhook and come right back to you.

Having a blast with it. So far I'm on Chapter 8 and loved the graphics and some little stuff they add on. Naughty Dog strike again. Speaking of Naughty Dog any news about the rumor The Last of Us 2? Maybe we heard more in next month E3 show.

Took me about an hour to download the update last night. I actually thought it would be much worse

It went surprisingly fast for me too.

One thing I noticed with this game, and not with any others I've played on my PS4, is that my PS4 sounds like a damn jet engine during the most random cut scenes. Not sure if it's the fan or hard drive or Blu-ray, but damn.

As others have said, the game is gorgeous, particularly during those cut scenes, which all appear to be rendered in-engine.

they might as well ship a blank disc these days and just have you download the whole game

Yeah, I could see that being a problem for some people.

We're getting closer and closer to the point where 5gb isn't a problem though. (I can't complain, since on my old internet that was a roughly 10 minute download, on my current internet that's like a minute.)

The problem for me was I had to delete TWO game saves to make room.

It's times like these that I'm glad I swapped out my hdd for 2tb.

Uncharted's story is excellent, you should definitely play the first 3 prior.

Agreed. It's one of the best-voiced game series ever. I love Nate, Sully, Elena, Chloe and the rest. Amazing vocal work all around (fake-Helen Mirren notwithstanding).

I can't help wonder where chess and discostu are right now. This is FINALLY the AAA PS4 exclusive chess was waiting for-- it's amazing. And I was so looking forward to discostu telling me how he's played the game 23 times already and that it isn't really all that good.

At the very least, play #2.

On Chapter 9. I really don't care for all the sliding mechanic moments so far in this game.

I'm on Chapter 8. Not too much sliding yet, but already tired of "move this large item to get around or above it" and "hey buddy, give me a boost" mechanics.

There's one part where you're running around on a rooftop and I kind of forgot where I was headed, but that's my own fault for getting distracted right at the point when another character literally tells Drake where to meet up.

The game is beautiful and the voice acting, as always with NG, is top notch. Gameplay is better than before, but I don't have a sense of danger (yet) like the opening to UC2. The story is getting more compelling now that a couple more characters have been introduced, but having not read a single spoiler, I already have a distinct feeling that one particular character is going to double-cross Drake.

In addition to the sliding around, I'm also not a fan of all the rope and hook stuff. The mechanic feels a little out of place to be used so much in the game.

Not to be that guy, but so far the thing about enjoying Tomb Raider's gameplay more but Uncharted having the much better story/characters is still holding on for me with the latest entries.

I groaned when that came up. I fucking hated those "run into the camera" levels in the Crash Bandicoot games. I never did well with them back in the day and unsurprisingly sucked at them twenty years later.

ND certainly overuse that mechanic as well the the hand grab off an edge

Yep...same there here in Nashville. So it looks like I'll just have to keep an eye open for PS Store, Amazon and the Daily Videogame Deals. No big deal as I've still got plenty to do...Dying Light, Alienation, Bloodborne and last two missions in Shadow of Mordor

I got my digital copy for around $24. It's up to $38 now (which is way too high), but it fluctuates a lot.

Of couse since it was bundled with many PS4s (both digitally and physical copies), there are always deals on the game on eBay if you dare.
