Question on Steam big picture mode...
What do you use for a controller? Yes, I know about the 360 controller combined with PC USB Gaming Receiver but I am also considering Bluetooth. I have a wireless kb/mouse combo but I'm not so sure it would have adequate range (I need 15 feet), Bluetooth is usually better.
So what do you use?

The 360 wireless controller has the best overall range for a wireless gamepad.
I haven't tried a KB+M, but do know I've had a few lag issues related to bluetooth in the past.

Honestly, I'm a bit surprised to hear of the lag issues... and disappointed. I only have one banged up 360 controller, but two PS3, both in good shape. If anyone can recommend a mouse or kb with good range and no issues I sure would like to hear it.

Re: Question on Steam big picture mode...
For a controller I use the 360 pad, probably about 10 ft away. It's just built into most games these days so it's the easiest control scheme IMO. In game button prompts are often built into a lot of games for the 360 controller. In the 10-15 feet range you aren't outside the range many people would be from a console, unless you have multiple walls between.
For FPS's and other games where I want a mouse, I use a wireless g700s mouse, and logitech wireless wave keyboard. Both work great wirelessly from probably around 10 feet, but I'm sure I could go farther. I also run a long usb extender cable for my nostromo pad since it isn't wireless.
