Re: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U
Posted this in the Amiibo thread, but it might be better to post it here instead. Has anyone tried playing online yet? I don't know anyone in real life who has the game, but would be interested in playing against anyone who was interested.

Are there any differences between the Gamecube controller and the controller that comes in the bundle? Is the latter more comfortable?

Ever since I got my Pro Controller, I can't fight in Smash Tour. All I see are huge pictures of all the fighters and I can hear them fighting. How can I get rid of the pictures so I can fight? I haven't changed any settings.

What you're seeing -- does it look like this, only on your TV?

I just went downstairs to try to duplicate this, and I can't. Is it possible you at some point set the gamepad to be a primary display? I tried looking for submenus to see what you're seeing, but I'm coming up blank.
I don't do anything differently with the pro controller than I do with the gamepad. I start the game up, press a button the pro controller to get it in play, and then it controls normally. The fighting is on the big screen the same as always.

Yeah, that's what I keep on getting.
I haven't played Smash Tour on my TV yet. The first time I got that screen was on my Game Pad this morning. I was actually in the middle of a fight when all of it a sudden it showed up. The next fight it didn't. Then my Pro Controller arrived and I started using it with the Game Pad as my screen. I'll see how it is on the TV later and I'll report back. I haven't changed any settings.

If you're seeing that on your gamepad, apparently you can make it go away by tapping the screen once.

I never really got into this....I'm gonna try to give it another go, just feels like it's always a button masher to me.

It can go like that w/ a lot of fighting games. It's just something that fighting games can't get out of. Button mashing will exist and there's no real way out of it, the DNA of the fighting game doesn't support it but the ability to repeat a button press needs to be there.

Holy...! Bayonetta is being added to the roster in February, and there'll be a Bayonetta Amiibo at some point next year.

So all the interesting characters are DLC while Sakurai decided to added Wii Fit Trainer and Villager to Smash's main cast of fighters. Terrific. Oh, look, another Fire Emblem character that no one's heard of.

I haven't touched my 3DS in awhile, but kind of interested in Ryu and Cloud. They're so expensive! I haven't heard much backlash but maybe it's because I haven't been paying enough attention, but I feel like if Street Fighter released characters for $6.99 each Capcom would be ripped to shreads about it.
