If you're running Skolas correctly, melee damage shouldn't be much of a factor...but yeah, lightswitch in general is bullshit, and when you have that small of a margin for error....not fun.

no problem glad you were able to get your first VoG experience

so after we did VoG, Scott, Cruz, and I ran a 34 and 32 of PoE .... both went super smooth

Cruz departed and Scott joined me as I continued to run Dragon Strikes in search of my Hopscotch Pilgrim

a couple strikes later we took down Phogey on the Moon and sure enough .......

Yep, my powers as the Gjallarhorn whisperer have seemed to return. Killer got #1 on Tuesday, while Ice got #2 on Wednesday.

The funny part with it was that the 3rd guy with us dropped out at the beginning of the strike. So I said to Ice, "Oh no, I guess we'll have to two man this thing!" It was all fun and games til Ice gets himself killed by the wizards. We get to the end, kill Phogoth and just start flying around the room, waiting for the usual blue engrams. There was no indication of what was coming on the reward screen.

All of a sudden it comes up and we just both start laughing hysterically. Ice has gotten his GHorns in the most unlikely places: Iron Banner and Dragon Strikes. I'd never even seen an exotic drop on the strike playlist before, and the first one I do see is a GHorn. Amazing.

So when we get thrown right back into the Summoning Pits, we get another good laugh out of it, I mean, what are the odds? So naturally Ice asks the obvious question: "So you think it'll drop again?"

Obviously it didn't and we did that Devil's Lair where he got kind of soured by seeing that other guy get the gun he had been trying for. But a GHorn is one hell of a consolation prize. And as you can see, my haul there was...epic...

I've gone and done it. Now that I have my Ghorn I started another Hunter.

Because thats just how I roll, maybe some of your luck will rub off on me and ill beat eillusion to a ghorn, although i doubt it as his video game luck is unheard of in games like diablo etc

My very first Hunter is now level 31. Scott, I found an even better blue helmet to get me from 30 to 31 last night. Depending on what Variks is selling Tues, I may be 32 then as I have one AC left. Otherwise, I have to grind out VG rep. Yuck.

Got boots to put my hunter at 33 but they are garbage. I'd like to run Trials later to try and get the boots so he will be at 34. Any takers?

Every Tuesday, all the events reset so that you can do them again for the coming week. That means a new Nightfall, a new Weekly Strike, and all raid progress.

the time (each Tues @ 4:00 am CT) in which all weekly activities (ex. Nightfall, Weekly Heroic, Raids, PoE, ToO) for the week reset and you can run again for new rewards

Well, my plans for the evening will be to get through Crota on normal and hard once. I'd suggest Gooter, killer and chase joining that for the potential armor rewards, well, maybe not so much for chase, but he's never seen Crota die without pulling an ethernet cable.

Then I'm down for nightfalls, POE or whatever.

BTW, Variks should have helmets after the reset, so you won't have to deal with that blue helmet much longer Goot.

Thanks for the answer on the reset guys. Even at level 30, I still feel like a noob
