As far as I can tell, it's just a pre-download of the episodes, so you don't have to stream them. I'm not sure what kind of user isn't worried about an additional 75GB download, but IS worried about streaming, but Microsoft. Maybe it's for people on submarines.

Because there are many variations of those episodes. The decisions you make along the way determine which version of which episode is played. The number is still pretty gigantic even taking that into consideration, but it's less nuts than it sounds.
I'm too lazy to clear out enough space, but I was thinking about downloading everything just to avoid any sputters/stutters in the streaming and to keep the quality as high as possible.

Yeah, plus the game seems so short that multiple playthroughs may be desired. I know I will be because

Nope.
It stopped at 23%.
So now I have to continue the download tonight, making sure my XO is on. If I set it to "always online" then it'll start downloading updates for shit I don't even play anymore (looking at you Call of Duty: Ghosts...)
Grumble grumble...
So yeah, I'm not playing it tonight, either.

Well that sucks. I'm pretty sure the game itself was 45GB, so no idea why you had a 45GB update unless you pre-downloaded the wrong version (has happened a few times).
I bought it yesterday and started the download/install process last night (including the 75GB episodes) and it was ready to go when I got home.

I realize this is the wave of the future, but damn, I miss the console gaming days when you just bought the game and were able to play once you cut the shrink wrap off.
New release Tuesday has turned in to buy me Tuesday play me Thursday.

I didn't time Episode 1, but Episode 2 was 22 minutes long! It seriously is a TV show.

Just bought this bundle today. I'm hoping to auto downloads as it was in que when I left (turned off the Xbox hoping for background dl). Anyhow. Will to download the normal 44 gigs and not the extra 75 unless I tell it to?

Anyway, Even though my download only got to about 40%, I was able to play Act I. So far, I like the game a lot, but I don't love it. The first episode wasn't bad, but had weird framerate shit going on. Not sure what that's about.

I am at what I believe is the final boss. It's a fucking headache. Nothing in the game has prepared you for this moment. I have died probably a dozen times so far. It's already 1am and I figured I'd be asleep by now. I hate to just say "fuck it" and deal with it tomorrow, but I may have to.
