Yeah, this PvE is giving me a hard time. I finally got a Daken after I bought a token, when my rewards gave me nothing (well, I did get a Hood, so 1 out of 4). It basically forced me to max out Ares because my non boosted guys weren't cutting it.

I don't remember the defense tiles neutering special powers before, but it does now and man Falcon is really annoying. Also, I've been spamming Ares green ability, which is tough on nodes where all three use green...

I've heard that people have success countering Falcon's protect tiles using Loki. His Black turns enemy protect tiles into friendly strike tiles. And it even works with a low-level Loki since his powers don't scale.

Seriously, when the PvE enemies are level 100 or 200+, I can't waste a slot on an underleveled Loki... at least, I don't think I can. I'll try him out next time I'm stuck on a dumb Falcon level. And to think I was grateful that we were playing as the Dark Avengers and I didn't need to face Daken/Bullseye.

I've gotten a few classic Storm and Thor covers recently, and just got an Iron Man model 40 drop, but most of my covers lately have been stuff I already have or can't use.

I did get another Daken (3-star) cover from Fatal Attraction. (So I have a grand total of 2, haha). But it looks like the servers are down, I was trying to get to 35000 on the PVE event so I could get another Prodigal Sun Heroic Cover (and maybe get something I can use). I'm at 32.3 now. We'll see I guess.

Yeah, I can't connect either. I just started the Daken PvP event too since it was at around 4 hours left.

And to earlier comments, I also hate Falcon's bird strike! Argh! Nothing like hitting the enemy for 1 fricking point of damage. :(

Still not having a Daken Classic has completely fucked me for the current PVE event. I'll be lucky to get in the top 500.

I got 14th in the Daken PVP event. I used a 3 hour shield so i only netted 25 bonus coins but i want to start building up my Psylocke.

i dread the days in PvP where combos with maxed out Sentry and Falcon will be common

I lost over 200 points in the last two hours from the PVP event. I was going to shield, but I was only 40-ish rank, and the other day when I shielded I was only attacked once. So I dropped down to like 130-ish.

i didn't notice these before, but there are 2 new events in the daken thing now. one of them gives you a sentry cover when you beat it. i just got the red one. :up:

So my strategy to wait until the last few hours to join a PvP event doesn't work anymore. I was put in a bracket where the top player already had 1,000+ points. I managed to get to 52nd place before I ran out of heals. There was 45 minutes left and I ended up in 130th place. Ouch. So I guess the moral of story is there's no reason to wait to join a PvP event.

What's the best way to get more healing packs? Just replay older PvE levels?

Are you guys referring to the mission with three level 45 enemies? Granted, one of them is Captain America, but still. My IM35 is level 32 or something, and he's by far my highest powered character at this point.

Same here, got mine and I am over 35k now (unfortunately I got an Ares cover which I'm not even working on). I am currently #16 on the overall ((#46/8583) on the current event). If I somehow don't drop more than 4 spots, that will be another couple of Sentry covers. At worst (can't see dropping past #50), that will be one more cover. Good stuff. Still wish I would eventually get a Daredevil cover though since he's my favorite Marvel character. Eventually, probably.

So I got an IM40, who is three star, but according to the guide that was posted he's not very good. Considering I still don't even have a solid 2 star roster yet, should I sell him?

If a healing pack is avail as a reward in the PvE missions, then once you earn it you can't earn it again. Unfortunately, the only definitive method to get healing packs is to spend tokens. IIRC, healing packs may be given out as random rewards but it is very rare and nothing you could depend on.

Speaking of healing... I know some of you use OBW's blue power in low level PvE missions to heal up your heroes quicker. Could someone post a more detailed guide as to how to do this?

Unfortunately, my OBW blue is only at level 1 so I think I need to match 11 blues before it is active. I tried to do it and probably picked the wrong mission as I was defeating enemies before I could charge up my blue. Also, when I did have enough to use blue, there were enemy countdowns on the board and thus no heals.

Keep him until you need to use his roster spot in order to use a good 2*. Assuming you can't afford to just buy another spot. It is very hard and time consuming to get a 3* to the point where they are useable, eg. collecting covers.

I'm still on the 1* to 2* transition. I am dreading the 2* to 3* as it literally takes months if you don't want to spend serious money leveling up heroes.

I hate the scaling in this game. I'm at 35k now and 127 overall.

It's difficult when you don't have many covers... one of OBWs other abilities is the ability to steal a blue from the enemy whenever you make a match; that plus the decrease in number of blues needed when you upgrade that power (9) plus more healing power makes it easier later on.

I usually pick a stage in Venom's chapter; early on I used the Venom solo, later I used the Yelena + 2 npcs; kill the npcs first, then spam the blue right before you kill her.

I reached 35k, and I'm only ranked 167 overall. I'll get stuck with a OBW cover which I've already got maxed.

If some brackets are going to have tougher competition, they should give that bracket better awards.

They want to reward newbies (ie: the ones most likely to get addicted and spend money before realizing blind buying 10 packs is not the way to go). If everyone was in similar brackets, the old timers and those with maxed rosters would dominate. So they scale.

Look at khurramnaim, for instance, he's really excited and doing his best partly through hard work and partly because of brackets. But there comes a time when you max out a couple of 2 *s and hit a wall because you did well enough to enter the next bracket, after which you'll see a bunch of lvl 141s dominating while you pray that you get a useful 3* cover that you don't already have.

At this point, if I don't jump in the Lightning rounds right away and get a few bots (the lvl 1/2 chumps they seed it with) I'm facing three level 100+ characters and I'm lucky if I can skip through them and get someone on a comparable level to me.

Guy at the top of my bracket has almost 66k. He doesn't have any lvl 141s, but he does have 10 covers in 3* Daken.

On a side note, as an alliance we're 9k away from 250. Unfortunately the difference between 250 and 251 is only 500 purple shards, to start getting cards we're going to need to break into the top 100.
