So thoughts after first episode.

Spoiler:
Well it definitely feels like Game of Thrones, the good guys get screwed.

The game starts at the end of season three.

So far, so good. It had more dialogue from the TV show cast than what I was expecting, which was nice.

Yep, so I would be wary if you haven't watched season 4. I also read a rumor that the final (2?) episodes of the game would have events that tie into some of the stuff that is happening on season 5.

Glad to see that the jank is pretty much gone. The frame rate could be better though. I enjoyed the first episode a great deal, even though it's even less of a game than The Walking Dead is.

Re: Game of Thrones: An Episodic Game Series from Telltale Games

I'm kinda bummed that these are $5 an episode/$30 for the season pass. Weren't the season passes for The Walking Dead only $20?

Re: Game of Thrones: An Episodic Game Series from Telltale Games

I looked back at my previous purchases and Wolf Among Us and Walking Dead Season 2 looked like they retailed for $25. Game of Thrones has 6 episodes instead of 5, so it makes sense that it's $5 more.

Fair enough, I thought I remembered them being cheaper.

Re: Game of Thrones: An Episodic Game Series from Telltale Games

Played the first episode yesterday. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Playing from 3 perspectives was an interesting change compared to Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us. That being said, I felt like I made all the wrong choices. Damn you Ramsay!

I kind of want to do another play through and make the opposite choices.

I replayed the episode and made more or less the opposite choices I made the first go around. I was bummed that it's impossible to stop
Spoiler:
Ramsay from killing Ethan Forrester.

I take it no one played Episode II? Came out a couple days ago. Downloaded it last night but haven't played it yet.

Didn't realize it had come out. Guess they need some sort of notification system on the PS4 or something. Thanks for the heads up!

Re: Game of Thrones: An Episodic Game Series from Telltale Games

Played the episode last night. Goddamn was it buggy. Lack of audio at times, repeated dialogue, framerate issues...but despite all that, I thought the episode was good and progressed the stories nicely.

Yep, they fooled me with the first episode being nice and smooth. Episode 2 is janky as hell.

Damn, I was wondering the same thing.
Spoiler:
I felt like I was making wimpy choices just to keep that from happening, like picking Royland as sentinel.

I was OK with not that much action and QTEs just because the story was so interesting.

I want to play episode 2. I can get the season pass on Xbox for $20, or the whole Telltale collection (GOT, Borderlands, Wolf Among Us, TWD 1 and 2) for $55. I guess I'll get the whole thing for only $35 more. The only one I've already played is the first episode of TWD1.

Re: Game of Thrones: An Episodic Game Series from Telltale Games

If I hadn't already bought the season pass for GOT on PS4, I would have been all over the Telltale Collection. It's such a good deal.

Re: Game of Thrones: An Episodic Game Series from Telltale Games

I finished episode 2 and enjoyed it, despite the jank and at one point completely crashing. I signed up for a Telltale account so maybe they'll e-mail me when episode 3 comes out.

Telltale tweeted that Episode 3 will release before the end of the month. Also, the trailer should be out on Monday.

I know it wasn't going to happen, but I wish they could release all the eps before season 5 begins.
