Can I use the hdmi in slot on Xbox one for anything? I figure a cable box supposed to go there? But, can you hook anything else up to it like a roku (which to be honest I don’t know what it does)? And, if I can use it, how do I access using Xbox interface? I tried for a bit but didn’t make any headway...

Yes, you can plug anything into that slot.
But I have no idea how to use it with the current interface; haven't tried it.

It's the TV app on your XO. I used it to hook up my 360 in the pre-BC days, but it had too much lag to be playable for most games. Worked for adventure games like Monkey Island and BTTF.

I wouldn't recommend hooking up a video game console to it; maybe a SNES mini-console. I have no idea what a KM8 Pro is.

Well, I guess that would work if there were channels you wanted that you couldn't get on the Xbox One itself (like Movies Anywhere for example -- though VUDU works just fine for that).

got it working just fine. thanks guys. will there be any noticeable lag or bandwidth drop if i connect such a device (Roku-like) through Xbox One? like video, audio quality going through One?

well, i did, but i don't know if best compared to an HDMI input on tv. you said not to hook up a game system up to it bc it would lag, so i wasn't sure if this particular device would do the same...
