Is the concern people have with those authorization charges because they're using debit cards or nearly maxed out credit cards? Things like that never bother me as long as I know it's not a full charge up front.

Re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

I thought everyone here had an extra $500 sitting in their piggy banks.

I said it earlier in this thread, but I just got an XBox One S less than 6 months ago. I have no plans for another hardware upgrade anytime soon.

Yeah as mentioned, the charge is just an authorization. You don't have to worry that your debit card will be drained of $500 and tax right now and your wife will get pissed about you spending that kind of money from your checking account.

It's not required...just a handy way to ease the sting of setting up another console without having to reconfigure everything from scratch or redownload hundreds and hundreds of gigs of data.

I think it's pretty awesome to have a way to let existing owners prep and transfer over to a new console easier.

It's kinda funny that Gamestop is offering a whopping $100 trade in for original Xbox One owners

GameStop overall is rolling out a "mutlimillion dollar" campaign for the Xbox One X, the retailer said. In a statement, GameStop merchandising VP Bob Puzon said GameStop is better than a "big box" retailer when shopping for an Xbox One X. "The best place to pick up Microsoft's most anticipated Xbox isn't a big box," Puzon said. "Our associates are serious gamers themselves, making GameStop the only place players can get unparalleled expertise on the system and its most popular titles."

This has probably been asked and answered but are the new Xboxes 3D capable?

Posted this in HD as well but also wanted to ask about games. Any must-have games for 4K? I haven't had an Xbox since the early days of the 360. First game I'll be picking up is Dirt 4.

Looks good. So this would be considered a 3D side scroller?

Looks like a twin stick shooter. There's nothing 3D about it.

Maybe you don't have 3D enabled on your computer monitor? It's 3D as fuck on my end.

Halo Wars 2 branded external drive for $70 over at Amazon. Not bad for a 2TB drive.

It's an isometric shooter with polygonal graphics, so this one is 3D. The camera angle is referred to as 2.5D when using 2D sprites, since it simulates 3D gameplay with 2D graphics. Similar isometric 2.5D games are Diablo 1/2 and Fallout 1/2.

I like the design on the new Xbox One X, but I still can't justify the upgrade. They need to hurry up and release some more affordable 4K projectors.

I'm sure this will clear up all the confusion.
