If they would make actual Fable games, and not a Kinect game or some weird XBLA title, or a FTP and just an ACTUAL FABLE game...then this probably wouldn't have happened. They basically shat on the whole franchise and unfortunately is going to kill the franchise for a long long time, possibly forever. Very sad news indeed.

Not porting Fable Anniversary to the Xbox One probably didn't help either, since it was a 360 exclusive after the XB1 had been released. It's actually the odd game out now on XB1, since both Fable II and III work with BC.

I completely agree, though I would honestly say though that Fable Anniversary will make BC at some point in the next 4-6 months. It's not at the front of the line, but if they put forth the effort for 2 and 3 (which are bigger games), then 1 can't be that far behind.

I'm wondering if Fable Anniversary might have problems with BC due to them pushing the 360 to its limits with the game, graphically speaking. Fable II and III, while "bigger," may not have as much going on per scene.

Agreed, although I wonder if they were under direction to make something that jumped on recent trends like free to play and cross play, and suffered for it. Surprised they didn't just scrap it and given the opportunity to make a new proper Fables game.

Xbox Live is currently $43.99 at Amazon. Not as good as $39.99 but it's Amazon. And some people have a lot credit/GCs there.

I really enjoyed this, but I don't think i'll pay full price for it again especially with the original being backwards compatible. I wish they offered a discount for previous owners, I'd probably buy it for $5.
