I'm not sure whether Outlast is still available for new members, but if you downloaded it when it was free, you'll have it for as long as you maintain PS+ membership, and if you lapse and resubscribe, it will become available again.

That much I know, doesn't do a lick of good for everyone else though. I personally think PS Plus is worth the money, especially if you have an older console.

Brack: Warframe and DC Universe Online are free even without PS Plus (and playable online without PS Plus afaik).

I'm asking because I do have a PS3, and from the image you posted, there's a few games there I've been meaning to play anyway, so I might grab a PS+ membership at Costco today. I'm just wondering if I can lock in for Resogun and Dead Nation too, even if I don't have the PS4 hardware yet. I remember this was discussed months ago, but I can't for the life of me remember what people figured out with this.

You don't technically HAVE to download it right away though, do you? I have just been locking in the licenses ("Purchasing" them from the PS Store), but not downloading them, thinking I could just download them later if/when I ever want to actually play them.

You should be able to lock in PS4 licenses on the PSN internet store...can't get there from work to verify though.

Correct. I'm not sure if it's the easiest way, but I usually click the download button on PS3 and then cancel before it starts.

On PS4, there's no need because that all happens in the background.

PS Blog today reports that both Kickbeat and Castle Storm are coming to the PS4. No word yet on pricing, but both are Zen games and currently cross-buy between the PS3 and Vita, so hopefully they will be free on the PS4 for current owners of the game like Zen Pinball 2 was.

Yes, you can. I'm in the same boat, only have a PS3, and have locked in all of the "free" PS4 games and Vita games since I have joined PS+.

It's a tremendous value/perk for the annual cost. Plus, I took advantage of last year's Black Friday sale... I'm a PS+ member for the next 5 years.

It's totally worth it. Grab as much PS Plus freebies as you can. Eventually you'll have a huge PS Vita library and then you can eventually grab a cheap PS Vita on Black Friday or something -- then you're just a big, expensive memory card away from a slew of free games and remote PS4 play to boot!

I have had trouble purchasing PS3 games, hit and miss, through PS+ because I don't own a PS3. I was hoping to keep buying them, and then later just pick up a cheap used PS3 and go through the catalog.
