Re: Fallout 4

I found the Fatman Weapon

My favorite weapon so far though is the righteous authority laser rife. The critical Meter increases by 15 % and does double damage. I also have the energy weapons bobble head that does even faster Criticals. I'm getting critical shots so much it's crazy.
So glad this is an offline single player game cause Bethesda would end up gimping the weapon

Weird.

I did see them before applying the update patch. Maybe the patch update disables them?

Re: Fallout 4

I only played for the first time yesterday, and there was a 300-400mb update patch that downloaded while the game was installing off the disc, afterwhich the patch installed when I backed out of the game, after installing off disc, but before starting the game. (PS4)

I'm not a fan of the settlements gameplay. I was in the middle of doing a main quest and received an alert that my settlement was under attack and by the time I got done with my quest it said I failed to protect the settlement. I'm not dropping out of an important quest to defend a rinky dinky settlement

Is it worth getting the Fallout 4 app on your smartphone?

I haven't played with it much, but I think you can only really use it when you're in the game. I really wish it was more like the Destiny app where you could access your character whenever from it and see your stats and perks and inventory and all that. Unless I'm missing something I don't think it can do that.

I can't get the thing to sync with my system. Even after I refresh and enable the setting on the game itself.

Re: Fallout 4

Finally figured out how to refill the power armor with fusion cores. Reloaded 4 at one time. As much as I want my character to be a good person and get her into some danger I also want cash and some trouble, too.

I only tried once, and it didn't work. will try again tonight. Although, now that I think about it, I wonder if my ps4 is hardwired off my cable-modem, and my wifi-router is downstream from that. Probably need to move my PS4 to one of the ports on my wireless router.

How exactly? I have the same "no power" message you had. Thanks.

Great metaphor on life.

I am focusing 100% on the Strength perk until I get it to the top level of the first tier. I love being able to pick up as much stuff as possible to use/sell and I hate having to ditch stuff I might need later. LOVING the game overall so far.

Great metaphor on life.

You have to stand behind the suit and just put the dot/cursor right on it's back and hit X, I believe. Your character dumps how ever many fusion cells you have into it and you're set. I hate that it doesn't automatically highlight it, though.

Hmmm, don't think to would matter. I used to have the Destin app and have the COD app and the COD app syncs great with the game. I should also clarify that the app was for AW and not BOIII.

Great--thanks. I have a few but didn't know how to make it work and it was not intuitive.

Played all day. The "Silver Shroud" quest was fantastic! You'll see what I mean once you guys play it.

that fixed it. Its not that the ps4 was hard-wired and my phone Wifi, its that the PS4 was upstream of the wifi-router, so they weren't on the same network. My phone was on my Wireless router network, and the ps4 was on my cable-modem network.

Re: Fallout 4

great game for listening to Spotify app on ps4 while you play. Just need to crank up the vocal volume (or pause the music during conversation). No offense to Diamond City radio, but Spotify has a better selection for hours of wandering through the wasteland.

Re: Fallout 4

Wow, great game (picked it up last night) - can tell I'm going to be playing this for a long time to come. I love the little details like being able to listen to music on your pip boy while walking around. When I started up the game a second time from powering on my xbox...the "please stand by" screen came up and instead of booting right to the menu it played a movie on charisma - loved it (and the clip was pretty damn funny).

Surprisingly, I got into the character creator (normally I just select the default) and I got him to look pretty much close to myself which gives me a good laugh - I used my real first name for the game and it freaked me out a little when Cosworth said it correctly.

I did get a good laugh at how fast a guy arrives at your door offering you a place in the vault then 2 seconds later a nuke hits and you run into it in your backyard but that's ok, I just took it as Bethesda speeding things up a bit.

Yes bugs, a dead roach latched onto my ankle and was carrying him around for a bit - but like others have said, it doesn't bother me one bit, the detail in this game makes up for all of that - if this were a game like GTA V where the world isn't as big and there's not much to do....it would have stuck out more but it doesn't.

I noticed you can "wait" while sitting down in areas, I'm curious to try this in certain areas to see if anything happens if you wait for a few hours or more - nice little touch.

So far, this game is a 10 for me - I have no clue how to build yet and I suck at combat but I do love how fluid and fast moving your actions are. The game is just satisfying to play.

Oh and how could I forget - the graphics, they're great! Yes, there not next gen spectacular but they're hell of a lot better then the 360 and look awesome. also, Bethesda made up for some of the graphical shortcomings by using those close zoom-in shots when you engage in conversation and certain tasks (you can break away from the view anytime you want as well and it won't break up the dialogue). The atmosphere is awesome.

Ok, this is getting way too long. I'm just glad I actually did buy it.

Wait, one last thing - People keep saying that finding one of the main guns in the game in the vault was a spoiler - bullshit, I looked everywhere before leaving and couldn't find it.

Agree. I "failed" to rescue someone who had been kidnapped. I don't recall any timed quests in previous games, but this one sure was. In fact, this whole settler thing is quite demanding and has a rather steep learning curve. More initial guidance might have smoothed things out, but there was damn near nothing.

Re: Fallout 4

Oh, and I also got laid in the game. It was with a woman named
Spoiler:
Magnolia and it was part of the Silver Shroud quest.
It pays to have that Charisma leveled up a bit.

Of course when I went back for seconds and thirds the bitch rejected me.

Re: Fallout 4

I feel like a dick for ignoring the main quest line. My son has been kidnapped and all I wanna do is build shit

It would be interesting if they implemented something where a companion scolds you for not focusing on saving your son. Or at the final quest your son has aged the amount of game time you've been away from him.

Re: Fallout 4

I should also point out that Dogmeat has 200 rounds of Cryo ammo - I'm not sure how or when he got them, because I wasn't paying attention. Now if I could remember where I left the CryoGun itself then that would be awesome. haha

I'm also NOT doing the main quest right away. I'm doing misc and random shit just build up my character.
