Re: Fallout 4
4 more hours of work until Fallout. Ugh.

Re: Fallout 4
My socks copy hasn't even shipped from Best Buy yet, but they already sent me the season pass code. WTF?! I guess the release day guarantee goes for one but not the other...

Re: Fallout 4
Just got back from Target, and got the last two bottles they had on display. Lady at check out says she was surprised the system let them sell two bottles in the same transaction.

And we're live! It's times like this I love living on the west coast and things open up at 9pm.
Of course I haven't actually played yet. Have a busy week and probably won't have time to start it properly until the weekend. |
Re: Fallout 4
I played about an hour last night. Watched all of the SPECIAL videos, created my character, shit went down, entered the vault, more shit went down, exited the vault, ran into Codsworth. So far, so good. It's the same ol' fallout, but much better colours, nice improvements to the UI, etc.
I do wish VATS stopped time entirely, but the ultra-slow-mo isn't bad. Adds a sense of urgency, which is actually a good thing. I like that, at least so far, conversations are singular, in that it doesn't seem like you can explore every way to converse all at once. You pick your choice, and move on. Good stuff. I'm happy. Too bad I won't have tons of time to play it in the coming months, but if I can set aside a few hours a week, I'll plow through the main quest up to the point of no return, then tackle side quests. |
Re: Fallout 4
No go at my Target. :( They were sold out at some point earlier in the day. Oh well, somewhat bummed, but in the end it was just a silly promotional soda that I probably wouldn't like the taste of anyway.
|
Re: Fallout 4
Are they just selling the soda today only or is it in limited quantities? I figured they would get some more once they sell out.
|
Re: Fallout 4
I think it's just a limited quantities thing. I'm guessing stores will restock randomly. Once stock comes up, it should allow in store pickup which will make it easier.

Re: Fallout 4
Played right at midnight. Logged around 7 hours before heading out to Target. The opening scene was surprising that it was
Spoiler:
Character creation is really deep. I play primarily in First Person so I didn't mess around with it too much. I went with a guy but my 2nd playthrough I wanna make Buffy or Beatrix Kiddo :) Crafting is okay. I can see people get really involved and can't wait to see what others come up with. If I do create something it'll be The Brady Bunch House  I'm focusing all my points on Strength till I reach Blacksmith. Knocking someones head off with my Bare Fists is so satisfying. I hope to find some Boxing Gloves :) And in those seven Hours I only finished 3 quests  |
Re: Fallout 4
My Target had no bottles in stock. I don't think their order came in yet. Guy at the game counter was a bit confused when me and 8 other dudes walked by. He said, "what game are you looking for?" and we all said "we're looking for soda".
|
Re: Fallout 4
Played for around 3.5 hours last night. Got to Level 4, but only completed 2 quests.
It feels like a Fallout game (3/NV), but I can feel the differences too already, in those few hours of playtime. I took vacations today and tomorrow, so I should be able to get, hopefully, around 30 hours this week. |

Looks like it's also sold out now. I guess this was an online only thing and not available in stores? |
Re: Fallout 4
I don't care what anyone says. I got my Pipboy edition in just a little while ago and it looks awesome to me. Were people really expecting a non-plastic Pipboy for under $120 with the game included? I doubt I will ever play with it but I bought it for display purposes anyway.
The code for Fallout 3 came in the steelbook case (which also looks really dang good). I just wish they had included the season pass with this edition. I got excited for a minute because there is a little sheet of paper in there stating "season pass" but it appears it was just an advertisement for it. :( I am in the middle of Bioshock Infinity so I may finish it first before jumping on Fallout 4. Maybe that will give them a little time to do an update since I know that always seems to happen pretty soon after any Fallout game comes out. Any game breaking bugs found yet? |
Re: Fallout 4
I guess Target employees are buying all the Nuka Cola and selling it on eBay.
Sold out online. In fact you can't even see the product page. |

I think I'm just going to make my own. A glowing Quantum one would be kind of cool.

Re: Fallout 4
Couldn't find any Quantum at Target :( Played a bit of the intro and it's off to a pretty cool start. Just picked up Tomb Raider though, so Fallout 4 will go on hold a bit.

Some greedy ass lady grabbed 7! Luckily I was able to get 3 before she cleared em out  I bought 2 for myself (one to drink and the other to keep on the shelf) and the other was for a friend. He had no luck at the other target.

Re: Fallout 4
Game shit the bed twice in Concord. Once it just froze up and I had to reboot. Another time I could not access my pipboy and had to reboot to fix the issue. Normal Bethesda bugs. Not game breaking at least.
I can't figure out power armor repair. I parked it under the yellow thing but I still have two arms and a leg in my inventory?? WTF? I don't get it. One leg and both arms look like they have a frame but no skin. When I try to repair them it says they don't need repair. Huh?? They sure as hell do. There is a tutorial about power armor online already but it didn't really help. Right now I have the dog carrying around the leg and two arms. |

Re: Fallout 4
Was there a day-one patch for this?
|
Re: Fallout 4
So where is the soda located? In the video game area or in the beverage area?
|
Re: Fallout 4
On eBay.
