I can't believe that some people are such big fans of the figures to pay 13 plus tax for them with no little to no interest as to what they are attached to. The game is just a means to sell us more toys just like Skylanders is. However, with Skylanders I have felt that all 3 of the released games have had plenty of content to keep one busy for months. I wish I could say they same about this Infinity release after buying every single released regular figure and a couple of the collectible ones along with all 3 waves of the discs and then some of the first Infinity game.

Played the Marvel level a few hrs tonight with my son and got tired of killing frostbite enemies over and over. I thought it was a downgrade from the first one so far. Haven't seen the toy box yet. On a side note, can anyone help us with the online component for Platnium on 1.0?

I've been looking online and cant seem to find out if this has a hall of heroes thing like in the first one, does anyone know if it does?

I have it, and it does. I spent time in the Toy Box, as well as the home you can make, and I played the Ronan minigame (reminds me of SmashTV a little). I personally like it - I played Lego Marvel and I do agree they needed more variation in the base game as far as foes. I have the Spider-Man playset as well, but haven't played it yet. I have 10 figures so far - I bought the Amazon bundle, and also picked up Sorcerer Mickey and Jack Skellington. I also picked up some discs - grabbed all of the Tron ones.

Hoping to see some expansion via DLC.

DLC doesn't exist for these games. Any expansion would be from a yet to be released playset.

And it is all on the disc to be unlocked with their crystal of mystery. Skylanders does this as well for their expansion levels.

Well i got this from Amazon over the weekend and it came with the extra figures. Will have to wait until its my Step Daughters birthday on Oct. 20th to see what it plays like, but sure she will enjoy it as she has not shut up about wanting it. Lets see.

Glad I cancelled and didn't wait around to have them cancel it for me. Even if it had been free, I didn't think that it would be worth paying for the starter pack just to get it.

Oh, it was free WITHOUT the starter pack... :)

 I was just coming here to post that. I love how they send me a price mistake cancellation email...on an item that I canceled myself over a week ago. Glad to see they are on top of things over there.

For those of you wanting to avoid Walmart or Target on Thursday evening (because they will be likely sold out everywhere come Friday morning nowadays), Amazon has a special running on this for 25% off. Note that the coupon is for Amazon Visa cardholders only but you can get the starter packs for 2.0 for $41.24 (which is basically Wal-mart price plus tax).

The code is TYS25ARC and credit goes to cheapassgamer.com where I read it.

It is also working on the Spider-man pack & Guardians of the Galaxy pack which have been put on sale for $25 which makes them $18.75 which is a sweet deal. I also got a lot of the separate figures as well and added them in and it took off the 25% discount up until it got to a max discount of $50.

So with Skylanders Trap Team bought from Walmart early Friday morning and now this, I officially do not have to go anywhere on Thursday or Friday. Yes!!!

also note, that code is one time use.

i saw that this game was released on steam. however your only access to heroes will be digital. no physical figures work with it.

Starter packs (both the Marvel super-hero versions and the Toy Box with Merida/Stitch) are $39.99 at bestbuy.com right now if you're an Elite member.

jumping on the Infinity bandwagon. yes i am 36 years old, but this game looks fun. My son and i love Marvel so we should have a blast together. The statues are pretty damned sweet, they look great. Here is my haul over the weekend. i was rather shocked my wife found the starter set. I just decided at the last minute later Thursday night that I wanted it. All the online retailers were sold out, but she got lucky when she walked into Target and got the last one in the store. People actually begged her for it after she got it lol.

Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Heroes Starter set (xbox 360)
Captain America figure
Hulk figure
Hawkeye figure
Nick Fury figure
Elsa figure

I am pretty sure i will get the Spiderman playset and/or Guardians playset from a relative on Xmas

finally got around to playing all this last week when i finally got to unwrap it. Here is my "official" haul :)

Starter Set w/ avengers playset, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow
Guardians Set w/ Starlord and Gamora
Spiderman set w/ spidey and nova
Captain America
Hulk
Hawkeye
Nick Fury
Elsa
Crystal Mickey Mouse Sorcerer's apprentice
Rocket Raccoon
Some power discs

I haven't played it alot yet, but so far I am enjoying the Guardians playset the best. Rocket Raccoon is alot of fun to play. I haven't really touched the toy box yet. I only downloaded some premade ones from the communiy -- one being a Frozen for my Elsa.

Fun stuff

Got 2.0 for the kids for Christmas. They love it. I played a little bit and enjoyed the upgrade system for the characters but found it a bit repetitive.

my son is playing through this. he's enjoying it, i think much more than the first version. the skill trees are great addition. the one thing that is absurd is load times. anyone else have this for xbox one? takes a minute to load a level. holy crap that's annoying.

wlj 01-03-15 02:53 PM

Re: Disney Infinity - Disney's Infinite Moneymaker

I am playing on 360 and the loading screen are rather long for some odd reason

Re: Disney Infinity - Disney's Infinite Moneymaker

Same loading issues with PS4. Still better than when PSN was down and it wouldn't load at all (until I turned the PS4 internet connection completely off).

Finally opened the gigantic LE for Xmas. My son has just started getting into the Avengers and especially Hulk, so he loves it, though he's one and can't play it (all he can do is gather up all the Avengers figures and move them from place to place, so yeah, these are really expensive figurines). The game itself isn't as good as Skylanders, and similar to other people I've been playing a lot of Lego Marvel, which makes this seem even worse. I do like the simplified character designs, and I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't have bought a Captain Marvel or Wasp figure if they made them. I just wish they did a more straightforward Skylanders type game.

I also hear the GoG level is like half the length of the Avengers level. Ugh.
