Favorite game developer?

After finishing up The Last Of Us, Naughty Dog is my favorite game developer. Every game they've made I have enjoyed. Crash trilogy, Jak trilogy, Uncharted Trilogy, and now The Last Of us. I also love how they started out making kid games to teen games and now their first mature Adult game. Apologies for not including a poll since there are so many different developers too long to list. My other favorites would be ; Insomniac, Sucker Punch, and Bethesda.

Bethesda, easily. Nobody else offers as much content for the price, and that includes full releases as well as DLC.

Rockstar is up there too.

Bioware would have been a few years ago, before they went to shit.

Bethesda, FROM Software, Atlus, and I still have to give love to Square even though they haven't made anything good since DQ9.

Blizzard

Naughty Dog is up there for me for Uncharted and that alone got me to buy Last of Us. Bioware too, even if they stumbled a bit recently.

Re: Favorite game developer?

Firaxis is my favorite developer. The Civilization series is the gaming equivalent of crack. I have spent literally thousands of hours playing Civ IV. Just... one... more... turn... and the next thing I know its 5 AM and I have been up all night playing it.

Rocksteady would be my second favorite. Superhero games are almost always crap, but Rocksteady did the impossible with Arkham Asylum and made a superhero game that is not only very good but one that's almost perfect.

I used to really love Bioware back in the days when they made D&D games like Baldur's Gate, but they haven't done anything I like in almost a decade. KOTOR was their last truly great game in my opinion.

Double Fine... but I've been a Schafer fan going all the way back to Monkey Island. Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango are 2 all time faves.

Re: Favorite game developer?

If you're talking all time, Sierra is probably my favorite. Modern might be Naughty Dog, Rockstar, Nintendo, and maybe Insomniac.
