I kind of want that shuttle, but 120 is expensive for getting a character skin rather than a new character.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I didn't have Barney, it was 250 with a rebate of 130, so 120 for Barney, Barney with space outfit and the Bowlerama. That was a steal.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Nice deal, mh4268.

I just sprung for the carbon rod monument. It's good value: 2.75% multiplier for 30 donuts.

Looks like I'm finally out of excuses for not having Barney....

Is the game crashing for you guys too? Like constantly, making it virtually unplayable?

There's a little semi-secret bit to get 5 free donuts in this event.
Spoiler:
Marge/Lisa/Bart have gather space food task. Each needs to do it once.

Yeah I think its time to finally get Barney as well.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Even though I knew it wouldn't happen, I was hoping they'd keep the snow around. Winter is still far from over - as evidenced by looking out my window - so I'm not ready for all the green just yet. (And yet the Christmas event load screen is still around for me. Weird.) But the floating potato chips with this mini event are a nice touch.

For Christmas I got a tablet and, boy, does it make a huge difference in playing this game. It feels so strange now when I'm on the go and check into it on my phone.

My game's fine.

I read about that on TSTO Addicts AFTER I'd unknowingly completed part of it. As is usual for me, I saw something new and tried it, then when I didn't see anything happen I gave up on it too soon.

Mine is fine. Are you playing on an older device?

Kinda. I'm playing on an iPad 3. The game stabilized after the yesterday's update and hasn't crashed for me since.

I just noticed that debris can be put in storage now.

davidh777 01-26-16 01:23 AM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Is there any point to the debris, or is it just launch-pad decoration?

Either decoration or you could clean it up for a chance at donuts. A number of long-term players have been complaining about the dearth of debris. They cleaned it all up, but now want some for decorating.

I've been saving a bunch of it for a while now. It's nice to have the option to put some of it in storage.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

It's been so long since I had debris that I forgot about the potential donuts.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I didn't make it all the way through the 5 Monorail pieces + 5 donuts last week and with the Maggie game, who cares? If I tap once per day, three days in a row, I'm getting 3 donuts from her. She's appeared in my house farm all but one time and with the sound effects turned up finding her is a breeze (I play silent unless I'm home alone so I don't annoy anyone). In terms of work, it's nothing:

Maggie Game = Less than 6 minutes over 3 days = 3 donuts (6 donuts over 6 days)

Monorail Task = Lots of time over 5-6 days (plus 1-2 days leftover) = 5 donuts

Yeah, I think I may slow up on the Monorail game!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've been getting duplicates with every weekly Mr. Burns mystery box prize for quite a while now, so I was pretty happy to see that the rocket ship gave me the "Hail Ants" sign this morning. I passed on purchasing that when it first appeared.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Somewhat of a big update today. The Daily rewards is gone, replaced by daily tasks that rewards with money and donuts. There's a Super Bowl offer by Gil for a Tailgating area.

davidh777 02-04-16 10:33 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I really want that tailgating area but will have to read the blogs to see if it's worth 200 donuts. I kind of want Sportacus and the basketball stadium too.

There's a glitch in the new real-estate stuff. My private island is level 3 and I still have a task to upgrade it to level 2 as well as one to upgrade to level 4.

I like the new donut thing. I'm glad I earned a channel 6 news van in my mystery box the other day before it ended, even if I just got another minnow pond in the final one.

Lotsa ways to get donuts now. I'm still doing the monorail in addition to the Maggie game. She may be branching out a bit since she was on the church the other day, and once I actually missed her for the first time since the game started. :(

davidh777 02-08-16 03:06 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I ended up splurging on the tailgate party because it looked so fun. The big hook is the 4% multiplier, which is nice but more expensive than other large multipliers that I've never pulled the trigger on (Mount Springfield, whale, etc.) in favor of small but more efficiently priced jet cycles and the like.

I guess I like it so far, but I have just a bit of buyer's remorse because it doesn't have quite the impact in my town that I was expecting. It does have a questline and upgradeability so maybe it'll get more exciting. All in all, I'm not sorry that I splurged on it, but I'm not going to get the Sportacus or basketball arena like I was thinking of. My next large purchase will most likely be a building with a character.

Oh shit. New tree event takes time and money to earn event currency. Like $6K each. Way to go tapped out. Only $5.5 million to complete

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I have plenty of money so that's not really an issue, but yeah, why do that at all? I mean, you could make a case for having the unemployment office cost money because you don't have to grind all those tasks, but I don't see why a simple task would cost.

I merged my tailgate party into my existing sports complex parking lot and it looks a lot better there.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The entirety of the "game" is pointlessly tapping on stuff over and over until eternity. What makes the tree any different?

We need another large event already. I'm going through withdrawal already lol

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I don't need another event, but another level would be nice. I believe this is the longest it's been since we had a new level.

Agreed, but it looks like an event is next. A Las Vegas-themed one. Get rrady for the Monty Burns Casino, is my guess. Hope we get a new skin for Burns from it, too. Check it out: http://tstotopix.me/2016/02/23/viva-springfield-update-incoming/
