24 hour tasks during a limited time event are bullshit. Kinda thing you'd expect from Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff. I have him tied up for 24 hours on strike.

Yeah and if you purchased the Winter king he has 2 twenty four hour tasks, and the Winter king task doesn't give you any presents.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Maybe I'm glad I didn't purchase King Winter. :)

Again there's a limit on how many neighbors we can visit and get presents. And again there's no indicator on how many that is. But I guess it's easy enough to notice when presents stop being generated.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

40. Only 40 neighbors. 40x3 presents from neighbor a day.

What's the deal with the Make Elves Make Toys quest? I don't see any way to do it?

They automatically do it when you click on the presents floating over them

UGH, what a pain. We have so many characters to choose from and they use the same characters over and over and over again.

anybody else completely unable to log in? I even uninstalled and can't get it to download.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

So what's the point of sending in the feds rather than just tapping on neighbors' presents? The payout for me appears to be the same (one present) so I guess it benefits them?

The characters who generated presents last year do so again this year, but
Spoiler:
they've gradually been adding characters this year. I think I have 9 or 10 going right now (one being the premium Squeaky Voiced Teen).

If you tap a present, your neighbor only gets money and XP; if you send a fed, they get a present too.

Plus it's a lot faster to triple tap the fed icon than to search for a building.

I can't express enough how much I love this part of it.

I logged in an hour ago, no sweat. Now, nothing. Went to "forgot my password," and it doesn't recognize my email.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I finally got back in by uninstalling, restarting my tablet and reinstalling. Then I had to restart my tablet again because the elf tunnel wouldn't function and I couldn't pull up Santa tasks. Gonna miss out on the 100 bonus presents today. Not waking up in the middle of the night to finish it. Still have to restart every time before I can get to the task lists.

As far as I'm concerned, the feds can stay forever.

Getting Origin errors whilst trying to log in.

story 12-11-14 12:03 AM

I think I'm going to let it go for the night and hope they have it fixed tomorrow. Maybe we'll all get donuts for our trouble. I'm actually interested in the final Nativity Scene prize and still hope to make it.

Thanks, everyone, for dropping Feds in my Springfield. This afternoon I'll finally be at the quest which unlocks my ability to do so. I'll be dropping them on y'all from now on. (Provided the max hasn't been reached.)

davidh777 12-11-14 10:33 AM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah, the feds seem kind of random, but the present benefit is nice, and the triple-tap is so easy I thought there was a trick to it. There doesn't appear to be any quota for how many we can leave, for example.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yep, this has been good event. Checking my friend list I see that most are ahead of schedule. Pretty easy to be on track.

I went on a business trip for 3 days and was afraid that I would get behind, but I was able to stay ahead. I didn't play as much, of course, but still.

Oh and I loved that joke about
Spoiler:
the wheel

 That was great, yeah!

Weird, and ultimately it really doesn't matter, but does anyone else's Kwik-E-Mart no longer give out cash / XP every three minutes? I haven't gotten cash or XP out of it for a few days now.

Even though I knew that prize was coming, I still fell for the joke and was saying, "GOD, NO, NO!"

Mine appears to be the same. True that it's not much payout, but I don't have a lot of brown houses so I liked having those there for neighbors to tap on.

Same here david, I was like SON OF A.. until Homer came on with his dialog.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Well, that strategy backfired.

I left all my characters idle in order to assign the next round of Santa tasks at midnight, then fell asleep. So in the morning I'd lost out on all those characters' tasks plus starting the Santa tasks. Now I'm on task 2 scheduled to end at 7 p.m., when I'll be at a party. If I can't assign Homer to finish his task by midnight, I'm going to miss out on completing today's round. I'm still well on pace for the prizes, but it would be annoying to miss the daily.

Jcheckel 12-13-14 03:54 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I thought the 24 hour clock on Santa tasks didn't start until you started part 1. Also, you can still complete the door after 24 hours, you'd just miss out on 100 presents.

story 12-13-14 06:58 PM

Yes and yes, both true. Use your time accordingly.
