Part 10

Spoiler:

Nets you 20 doughnuts.

After the women and children task to defeat the Stonecutters thing, Lisa talks about keeping them from controlling everything.

The game recommends that for a little while each day, put down the phone and go outside to make sure you aren't being controlled.

Then a little EA logo comes up and said to ignore that and here's 20 doughnuts to placate you.

*paraphrased, of course, but thats the general dialogue*

I put every free child and woman I had on that task,, then got home from work and found I was one short.

If you keep making the wrong guesses on the Sacred Parchment tasks, like I have from time to time, I added a link to the OP of this table of riddle answers from Simpsons Tapped Out Wikia.

Waiting for Bart to be done conspiring on something with Lisa so he can go do today's Parchment riddle task.

If you only want to keep the minimum number of characters free for Number 1's tasks, the following group should work:

Spoiler:

Comic Book Guy, Mayor Quimby, Todd, Wolfcastle, Agnes

I just started the third Number 1 task, six hours long, at 2 p.m. I hope the fourth won't be a long one.

Is this the last quest force event?

I know only the first 20 or so friends you tap give you emblems but if anyone can please tap my town (Spatula _ City) I would appreciate it because I am way behind on emblems.

Can I return the favor for anyone in particular?

Also, is the surprise message and reward from EA the final part of the Stonecutters storyline? Looks like it but I want to make sure.

The fourth task was four hours, and I started it at 8:15. The frustrating thing was the day before I was done tasks before noon. Then this set was two hours (started at midnight, didn't stay up for the end of it), six hours (started at 7 a.m.), six hours (started at 2 instead of 1 because I met a friend for lunch), then four hours (started at 8:15 instead of 8 because I was at a concert and waited till intermission).

I actually had the opportunity shortly before midnight to speed the task for around 15 donuts, but I didn't figure the 400 emblems were worth it.

And now today, I finished the first task as overrun from yesterday, then the next ones have been one and two hours. Unless the last task is over 12 hours, I'm going to be really early again. -ohbfrank-

This is the last quest I got. It sounded from the topix blog that there's something else, but I didn't read too closely for fear of spoilers. By this point, though, I think I would have gotten it unless it's tied to something I don't own.

As much as I like this event, I think it's a flaw how much it discourages community interaction. My pattern has been to go through my entire neighbor list and only tap their lodge. After that, I'll go back through and tap two other buildings. Sometimes I don't get emblems for that, but I figure it's a courtesy.

Last night, though, I was tapping late, so I only hit the lodges. This morning I went back through and hit those same neighbors, in some cases hitting the lodge again. Then I checked some other neighbors and tapped a few more lodges. In olan's case, my three taps in his town were three lodges. The game is really encouraging me to only tap the lodges, then wait for more lodges to free up, meaning I hit each neighbor only once unless they're very active and happen to tap their own lodge in time for me to hit it again. As it turns out, I'm too lazy to make that many runs through looking for lodges. Unfortunately I'm also too lazy to hit all my other neighbors once I'm done with emblems. I certainly could, and I'd get as much $/XP return as I do on my non-quest neighbor visits. I figure Number 1 and the parchments and (when they were going) the quests keep me busy, especially since they have me assigning much shorter tasks than I usually do.

I can't promise to be better about hitting everyone, but am certainly willing to help people who are in need.

Many friends have visited my Springfield today, thank you! I was able to get the full 5 emblems on most every tap, too. Up to 10,313 so I'm still way behind but it was a great boost today and I really appreciate it. I'll be helping lead a kids' camp the last week of June and won't get to tap much so anyone who can bolster my emblem count as that week approaches, I would appreciate it, thanks again.

Keep acquiring. The Secret of the Cut Stone is finished, but I got another part to Game of Stones, and there may be more.

OK, I just have to say that it was funny to see one of the robed Order guys running through town and coincidentally having patrolling officer Lou running after him.

I had complained about the Easter event to Peter Moore and got a response. It came a while back, but I didn't go back in to see it until now.

Another guy also contacted me to offer assistance with my account. I'm not having technical issues, but I appreciated it nonetheless. Between that and the Stonecutter event, I'm feeling some optimism.

Yep, pretty satisfied with the Stonecutter event. Really hated the previous one, and this is almost perfect.

Nothing like logging in right after 12:00am and missing those 400 emblems by a few seconds. I'm going to have to start setting alarms on my phone to remind me to log in.

I'm loving this Stone Cutter event. They definitely stepped up their game after the Easter and frame rate debacles.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'm pretty happy with it, too. I think more "classic episode" event tie-ins are the way of the future and I like that this can balance with "new episode of the week" tie-in mini-events. I've come to realize maybe I would have more emblems if I'd paid closer attention to the instructions, including the whole Number One tasks and the timing issue. I kept tapping as much as possible and I wonder if I'd paid attention more to how it all worked if I could have gained a few hundred more in those early days.

So right now I have Burns hiding nuclear waste all night and he's done in the next 24 minutes or so. Today's parchment riddle is to send someone to hide nuclear waste. Will be curious to see if Burns' current task will earn the emblems or if he'll have to do it again. Seen it work both ways with this sort of thing before. We'll know for sure in less than 24 minutes...

 There were two times I was considering spending the donuts to complete the task. The first time I just got distracted and didn't have the opportunity to decide before midnight passed, and the second time I decided not to do it. Maybe I'll splurge on the Abandoned Store with the donuts I saved. :)

Yeah that's happened to me a couple of times now. Nice little lucky coincidence.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah, it's always worked for me when I started a task then had it be part of a quest, usually by dumb luck but sometimes by reading ahead. I don't like to do that, but it sure is handy sometimes.

After reading story's, er, story, I decided to go ahead and hit some other neighbors even though I was done earning emblems. "What's the harm?" I said. Turns out, it is kind of a bummer. This morning when I was making my normal run through my neighbors, I couldn't visit a number of them because I had hit them last night. They may have had lodges just sitting there that I couldn't get to. :( Not blaming story at all; it's just a drawback in how the restrictions discourage neighbor visits. That and the lack of emblem-earning tasks are the only drawbacks in an enjoyable event.

I did read on tstotopix that after all the emblem prizes are earned, we'll get donuts for achieving levels beyond that. I'm glad they restored that from previous events, rather than earning additional spins on a useless wheel.

So for the people that has 40+ or so emblems, how is that possible? Did they buy a lot, and I mean a lot, of the premium items that give you emblems?

Or just traditional hacking?

I have about 24k right now. Wouldn't know how to hack if I wanted to and haven't bought a thing.

40K+ of course.

And yeah, people that have 20K+ that's doable, even low 30Ks, but more than 40K emblems?

"traditional" hacking= jailbreaking, rooting. It has been done for years. It's like a tradition. ;) But I'm not sure if EA has patched the game so people that's JB or rooted don't have any advantages.

They probably bought the items with donuts, since when you do that, it apparently bumps you up to the number of emblems you need to get that prize.
