I've always had a fondness for Sega. The Sega Genesis didn't have the quality of games that Super Nintendo had, but they had the Sega Channel which was the greatest thing ever to me as a pre-teen. Years later, the Dreamcast would teach me about IRC and how to illegally pirate obtain games for lower than the retail cost. Outside of that, the only things I remember about the Dreamcast were Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, and Phantasy Star Online.

Yep, I was with Sega from the Genesis to the Dreamcast.

It was actually the Saturn that introduced me to the WWW and IRC (NetLink adapter) and with that, it also had limited online gaming via special NetLink Saturn titles.

This does not include handhelds. The only handhelds I've ever owned were a gameboy and gameboy advance, so its not really fare for me to rate those or try to include those in a larger list. Here we go (subject to change):

1. NES (without a doubt this will always have my fondest memories).
2. Playstation (a ton of great games and the birth of a major force in gaming)
3. Xbox 360 (my current console of choice, and could very well be the last console I will ever buy)
4. Sega Genesis (the best Sega console still IMHO)
5. Playstation 2 (almost as much fun as the PS1, but there were some real misses in the middle).
6. Turbo Graphix 16 (a personal favorite, I still have a Duo though I'm afraid it doesn't work too well anymore. A fantastic import base.)
7. Super NES (My least favorite of the 16 bits, but its hard to deny all that it did).
8. Xbox (I did not get into this system until it was already dead but there were a lot of interesting games that never made it to the PS2).
9. Sega Master System (pales in comparison to the NES but I have a warm place in my heart for the SMS, it was the first system that I put up mini-reviews for.
10. Sega Saturn (Another system that was more awesome in the import arena than domestic. A lot of fun games, at least the ones you can translate).

HM: 3DO (bet this won't appear on anybody else's list. I picked up the FZ-1 (tank model) on the super cheap and amassed a collection of games for barely nothing. There are a lot of undervalued, undermentioned games that completely rock. A lot of odd and unique games too which give it a place in my list.)

I probably would have ranked ps1 higher as I did get a lot of enjoyment out of it, but it holds up the least for me now. The polygonal graphics of the time look so dated now but the sprites of the previous generation still look good.

-PS3 (hardly turn it on since 360 is basically the same but has better online and I like its exclusives better)

-Lynx (best handheld until GBA came along, but rather uncomfortable to play and sucks up battery like a fat kid in a candy store)

-Sega Master System (ahead of its time with active shutter 3D glasses, card/cartridge format, first epic console RPG - Phantasy Star, that is way better than Dragon Warrior or Final Fantasy)

-Colecovision (it should replace 2600 on my list, the arcade ports were the best at the time and some of the coolest accessories like the driving wheel for Turbo/Dukes of Hazzard, but I never owned it so it didn't make my list)

I have never owned a Microsoft console and I skipped out on 4 of Nintendo's consoles (WiiU, Wii, Gamecube, SNES) even though I have played with all of them. SNES would tie with the genesis and The 360 would probably be even with the PS2.
