Re: Bungie - Destiny

If there is enough interest, I wouldn't mind running the raid from The Taken King. I only ran through it once before. Although, that would require me to re-install Destiny

I don't have the Rise of Iron content, so I can't participate in any of that action.

For Saturday, I probably can't get on until 9pm ET

OK, don't let the fact that nobody responded to your question deter you. Destiny is fairly news friendly, and solo friendly, at least at the beginning.

When you start the game, you're going to be doing a lot of catching up to get to the level that most players are at. That means you'll be spending a lot of time playing on your own You'll be doing story missions and patrols for the most part. You will run into other players out in the wild.

That being said, the more you play, the less solo friendly it gets. If you want to to the higher end stuff like raids, you need a group. There's always plenty of stuff to do on your own because of matchmaking.

Anyway, to the rest of y'all, Saturday is actually looking to be a pretty good day for me. I'll be around during the normal Dagger hours. Up for any or the rads or whatever else people wanna do.

I'll be around. Should make for an interesting Saturday night. Upgrading the internet on Saturday morning. My new modem and router are sitting here waiting for service to be turned on. Should be back from dinner also.

She will tolerate Cox. But she refuses to put up with Cox if Cox gives too many problems

Re: Bungie - Destiny

either I'm doing something wrong or this is the worst PvP meta ever ( and that is saying a lot)

EDIT: well I have part of my answer as I was running invisibility grenade instead of toxic

Is that site bigbadtoystore any good? I'm wanting to order these, and they ship to Canada, but I've never heard of them before.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

…Tomorrow!
We’re putting the finishing touches on an announcement about the next content update for Destiny. For weeks now, we've been teasing relentlessly that you haven’t heard the last from the Live Team. We do that not to be cruel, but to give our team the breathing room they need to finalize the details — and bring you along on the journey as best we can.
Tomorrow, we’ll begin the conversation about what’s next, including some fresh challenges for you to tackle and the sandbox changes that were previewed last week. This article will hit the blog at 9AM Pacific. You should expect an announcement and a reveal schedule. You’ll be able to update your calendars. The countdown is about to begin.
If that’s the only sort of news you’re craving, just hit the snooze button on your web browser and check back with us after a good, hard sleep.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

And they officially revealed that Destiny 2 is a fresh start. Everything except our actual guardians is being left behind.

So just judging by the images, Vault Of Glass is returning as expected. We're also likely getting an update to Prison Of Elders. Looks like there will now be a weekly Raid and POE akin to Nightfalls (the rituals pic has raid and POE emblems added to the others)

Maybe that weekly raid will be a different raid every week, which could mean that Crota and Oryx are being updated as well. Raids with modifiers? This week it's VOG with Arc Burn! So long as we never get one with Trickle, which would just be annoying as fuck.

Overall, I don't know how to react to all of this. I mean all this new stuff isn't going to be carried over. So once the shiny and new aspects wear off, there's not much of a point of collecting anything.

You say that now, but when we are playing, it is a different thing.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

That Hunter VoG armor is insane. Cyborg leg!

I do agree with Scott in that it stings a little knowing this stuff will be irrelevant as soon as D2 hits. Still looking forward to it though. Those Raid runs a few weeks ago were a lot of fun.

Horizon Zero Dawn has me hoping the hunter can use a bow as a primary in D2.
