Scott said i have to participate to get rewards...Bungie must have been watching me "play". :(

I loved my year 1 hawkmoon so here's to hoping i get the y2 version before Chase

EDIT: Y1 Hawkmoon is still viable in PvP right? Since level advantages are disabled? (not counting IB here)

If you're going to buy armor engrams, helmet is the way to go since the majority of players choose to wear that as their exotic piece.

For those looking to farm exotics with the 3 of Coins, this seems to be the best method:

Yup, all advantages are normalized. I know I'm still getting killed by it in PvP. Some sort of cruel twist...

Is that purely a cosmetic choice or is there a statistical advantage?

Helmets usually have the most useful perks. For instance, the Titan has a new helmet that gives every Rocket launcher tracking.

Also, legendary helmets cost 150 marks, while other armor cost only 75. SO if you buy the helmet, you can pick up two more armor pieces at 280 armor. This will give a huge boost to your light level.

Awesome, I plan on finally getting into TTK tonight so hopefully I roll something decent and level up to 40 to use it.

I was thinking about tackling the Vault of Glass raid tonight, which I've never done. How long is that thing?

Re: Bungie - Destiny

It depends who you run it with. With an experienced group you can knock it out in an hour or so. Be careful with LFG. A lot of people that say they know what they are doing are full of shit. You can always ask any of us that are in the Daggers Clan to help out. We've helped quite a few people through their first runs.

We probably won't run it tonight since we will be pulling out our hair by going into the new Raid blind. There should be enough of us around tomorrow night that would be willing to help out.

Also, you could always join our clan. It makes finding people to run daily missions, nightfalls, raids, quests, etc. much easier.

I've only done it once, but from that experience it really depends on the people you run it with. I was basically sherpa'd through it with people in my clan that had run it many times already so they knew exactly what they were doing and it only took around an hour IIRC. If you run it with people who haven't done it before or haven't run it multiple times I can see it taking much longer.

Seriously fuck this game, and its new RNG

Got a bunch of exotic engrams today the results?

Light Beyond Nemesis X4
Crest of Alpha Lupi X 2

The Stag X2

I did end up with the Nereafter Exotic Sniper though. Also a 290 Helm of Saint 14, and The Taikonaut

Did you buy them as a Warlock? It used to be for a completely random class, but mine today were heavily favored towards the warlock i bought them with.

Thanks. Most appreciated. One more bad question. How do I go about joining the clan? Is there somewhere in the tower I need to go?

So is infusion gonna be how they keep year 2 weapons/armor going into year 3?

Cause is there even armor with a higher defense than 290?

Bungie has said that most Exotic armor will eventually get a Year 2 upgrade at some point over the next year. Get over it, I simply brought to attention a contradicting statement I saw from a more reliable source than some fanboy who thinks we're hanging on his decision over whether or not he's going to continue and play the game. The angry video game nerd stuff has been done to death already.

So your defense against "some fanboy" is to provide a source from a site that is run by and for fanboys? Because that's what Planet Destiny is, a fansite. It has zero affiliation with Bungie or Activision. And they're a fine site with lots of great info.

The problem is, My info came directly from the game itself. You could have logged on and had a look and saw the exact same thing I did. Yet you still chose to believe a video from a third party fansite over what Bungie put in the game. And even once this was pointed out to you, you continued to put the benefit of the doubt with them over what the actual game was telling EVERYONE. Not just me, but everyone. Again, this isn't me vs. Planet Destiny, this is DESTINY Vs. Planet Destiny. And you chose the fansite over what the game said.

I wasn't condescending to you, nor did I insult you. I merely said the guy was wrong, and the proof was in the game itself, which it was.

You then said that this was merely a "possibility" and you'd stick with the random video where the guy offers zero evidence because reasons.

In the end, you look like the fool, not just because you were wrong, but because you blindly followed misinformation instead of looking it up yourself.

As for my decision, do you know how many times I was asked that question in the weeks leading up to release? In this little corner of the universe, guess what? People did care. Maybe you didn't, and that's fine.

Yes. I have blue boots that are 295. I would imagine raid armor is 310+
