Boy, I had the shittiest Nightfall run ever.

3 drops, and each time my two partners got exotics, and I got a shitty purple gun.

Nice. I've never seen that cheese spot before. I agree it seems much better. I'd be afraid to try on a nightfall though just because it doesn't show what happens when he moves to the other side of the room. I'm sure it's still fine, I just wouldn't the nightfall to be my first attempt up there since I'm unfamiliar with it.

Just tried that spot. It's not completely safe. You can get hit pretty hard from his rockets, and splash damage. I didn't die up there, but still. It is fine no matter where he is though. You just have to move around. It does give you good angles to actually hit him.

Yep..never seen or heard of that cheese spot on top. has anyone tried getting up with a Hunter yet? Not sure even with his triple jump he can make it.

On a side note having someone down below in the other cheese spot might actually help keeping all the others busy and possibly getting in extra shots to make it quicker.

Yeah I might stick to the corner for the nightfall since I know it's safe. I'll try out that new spot for the weekly since an accidental death won't be as devastating.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

My other thought from this morning: That mechanic where you lose ammo when you switch weapons needs to die in a fire. Shit, I loaded in with my machine gun equipped...switches weapons...shit, now I have no ammo.

Fun mechanic Bungie. Nice work.

And in other news, I'm breaking down a ton of exotics today. I refuse to be the guy who grinds glimmer to buy an upgrade for a gun just to have the privilege of grinding it up again just to have to do it all again when the next update comes out. I'm keeping my Ice Breakers, Suros Regimes, Jellyhorn and maybe one or two others. Otherwise, it's all just unnecessary inventory management and pointless grind.

valid question

On a side note having someone down below in the other cheese spot might actually help keeping all the others busy and possibly getting in extra shots to make it quicker.
and a very good suggestion

I agree, that is such garbage. I just don't get why it punishes you for switching out guns. Also what is the deal with starting with no heavy ammo when you signed off the the ammo being full.

.

This. So you are going to have different colored shields on the endmies for which I am supposed to use different element infused weapons, but when I switch weapons, you rob me of my ammo.

So play the way it is designed and be punished. Stellar job idiots.

Couldn't do it with the triple jump, but did make it with the highest double jump.

Also if you don't lean forward and aim for critical head shots he won't fire his rockets, takes longer shooting at the back of his head but won't take a rocket to the face.

I don't see why you wouldn't. It was supposed to be a holiday gift from Bungie.

from what I understand all "gifts" (1 per account/not character) will be a legendary Vanguard weapon
so basically shards unless you get a tremendous roll

Bungie: "Thanks for putting in dozens of hours. As a reward for your dedication, here are 2 shards you can get 7 days a week running the daily and/or doing a few public events."

My bitching paid off! I actually got a weapon out of the deal. It's a legendary scout rifle....Another NitC. Doesn't seem too bad.

that is a good scout
depending on the perks you got it might be better than the standard Vanguard version
