Finally got on last night like everyone else. I could spot several new people already running through....level 4-6 players were everywhere. Glad to see them on though. As much as it's been sheer frustration for us I cannot image those with new consoles and a new game just sitting there. I joined up with a some friends who had a party called...F U Lizard Sqd

If you want some fun reading, go back and read the early parts of this thread, and compare them to how people feel now.

Chess's posts are like a love story. Chess meets Destiny, Chess falls in love with Destiny, Chess defends destiny's honor when being attacked by other posters. Chess loses patience with Destiny not giving up the goods, Chess hates destiny.

It's awesome!

I don't mean to single him out, he's just the most vocal about things early on, and through the thread. Then there's myself and musick, who were both kind of luke warm on the game during the beta, but have put as much time in as anybody.

You left out the part about how Destiny is his mistress. His main piece of ass is Warframe. :p

I did, and you know what, I still stand behind my very first post in this thread after playing the alpha for just a couple hours.

But Destiny does play very well, and looks really nice. And this may be due to it being an alpha, but, playing even for just a couple hours, I got a little bored with it as it felt very same-y, even compared to other shooters.

I still feel the same way after playing the full game and DLC up to level 25...

A friend got me in a group yesterday where we did three runs in the Crota Raid and not a bad haul I guess...

Hunger of Crota Rocket Launcher
Swordbreaker Shotgun
Light of the Abyss Fusion Rifle
Hunter Boots
2nd pair of Titan Gauntlets

I also picked up another Pit of the Hive Auto Rifle yesterday and now have two of them to work on. Almost have Eris at level 2 with two characters and still a 1/3 with one more.

other than to purchase the class specific items [bracelet, head scarf, toilet paper] (or if you just need bounties to get XP) there is really no reason to level up Eris with multiple characters

Well I had a productive morning.

I decided to finish off my bounties for Bad Juju and Invective, or at least the PVP requirements. But before that, I had to get to that stage with Toland by finishing off the 25 strikes requirement. I needed 6 and finished them off on the ROC playlist, and got absolutely nothing. Blue engrams every time. Lame.

Got to the crucible part, and absolutely feasted on newbies. It was like September again! I got 5 kills with a Nova Bomb! It only took me three matches to get the +25 spread. Juju took me longer. Along the way, I was rewarded in one match with a new Plan C. So I scrapped my old one for 2 shards. Finished off the Juju bounty and scrapped my old one for 2 more shards. Now I have an old Invective I can scrap. I'm suddenly swimming in shards!

Re: Bungie - Destiny

^ nice .... I'll have to take advantage of that for my active Thorn bounty since I'm at the Crucible stage
still have to deal with kills being of the void variety though while avoiding death

As long as it's on your Warlock you should be OK. Well, the void part anyway.

I ended up doing the Upgrade for Thorn instead of the bounty, though I kind of regret doing that. I've since done the bounties for the two above and Super Good Advice as opposed to upgrading. For Pocket Infinity, I'll probably do the upgrade there as getting the 10 rare fusions is annoying and/or expensive. Getting an extra shard is better than spending two, but trying to save space for crap fusions isn't worth it.

Then again, you have over 200 coins ;) So shards shouldn't be an issue for you.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

about 235 now .... LOL

bounty is on my Lock .... I did it once before but it was a slog because most of my kills are from my primary which tends to be the Suros in crucible .... I guess I could use the Epilogue this time, which I didn't have before but will likely just lean on grenades and supers for most of the kills

I recently did the PI exotic bounty because I had been saving Fusions in my vault so that was easy enough at the time

only doing the Thorn bounty because I already did a Bad Juju bounty recently for the new version and I believe I also got a drop on the new Invective (even though I don't use the old one) .... I still have an old Thorn to break down

I am actually happier with the game now that I need to play it less per week. I am at Level 31 with my main which is good enough for me until the next expansion. I don't need Raid armor... it will be irrelevant by the time the next DLC comes out. But I don't mind playing the Raid, and I can do that once a week or so.

Playing Crucible now with Kinderguardians around may be a good idea.

I just finished the "new" pocket infinity bounty after it was in my inventory for 3 weeks. That's how long it took me to acquire 10 legendary fusion rifles (with 3 characters mind you, playing every single day). I agree, it's a colossal pain the ass. I probably could've just bought them, but I really wasn't in that big of a rush to get the weapon since I never use it. Getting the better version is really just more of a completionist thing for me.

Out of ALL the exotics I had before the DLC, the only ones I don't have the upgraded versions of now are the "Light Beyond Nemesis" helmet for my warlock and "Bad Juju" (I have the bounty, just slowly chipping away at it, again there's really no rush to finish it since the weapon probably will never get used).

Two Crota cleans this morning. Total of 4 shards from that blue fuck. At least nightfall was a little better. 2 duplicate exotics, turned into 2 shards.

yep because you all demanded it ..... again

Nightfall - The Will Of Crota (Omnigul)
Epic
Solar Burn
Angry
Jugler

Silence her screams guardians (though I do find them kind of sexy)

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Another weekly reset in the books, and another clean run through Crota is complete.

Before that, let me tell you that the Nightfall/Weekly Strike this week is once again the DLC Strike Will Of Crota. This time it has Solar Burn, meaning VOC's and Icebreakers will wreck their shit up. Black Hammers too.

As for Crota, I didn't fare to well this week. My Warlock got the Bone Circlet class armor, along with Shards and Energy. My Hunter got a second pair of gauntlets that were worse than the first, plus energy and shards

My Titan did OK, getting a Red Death (my first!) from the first chest, as well as the class armor. He got the boots with a very nice roll of Intellect, and my second Swordbreaker. My Titan also scored in the Nightfall, getting the Glasshouse Helmet. I now have upgraded versions of all the Titan helms.

ok all .... informal poll time
now that this game has been out a fair amount of time and most of us have a taste of the new DLC content

if you could only carry one weapon on your guardian what would it be?

me .... without a doubt Fatebringer
the most perfectly named weapon in the game

I don't have a Horn or Mytho and can still confidently say I would take the Fatebringer over those or any other 331 maxed weapon

Suros. I haven't used any other primary weapon since buying one.

Normally would've said Timur's Lash (IB hand cannon) but Atheon's Epilogue has made it up to the top of my list of favorite weapons. That weapon shreds hordes of enemies. Tons of ammo, reliable recoil, void weapon and a snappy, nice looking sight when you ABS. Patience an dtime would be next choice

Fatebringer is the best weapon in the game. If you don't have one, it's definitely worth doing the Vault of Glass over and over and over again until you get it. I'm not opposed to keep running the VoG myself just so I can have one on every character.
