I started playing this a couple days ago and I'm having a blast. It feels like an expansion pack to SR3 though, but for $25 I'm not too upset about it.

Re: Saints Row 4
Just picked up the collected edition they released last week. I am not sure if its just me, but i am flying through this game. How many of the power up orbs are there to be collected as i have already gotten almost 800 in less than one days play. I know with the DLC packs that i should have a lot extra to do and a lot of replay value, but the game seems pretty easy. I do love the abilities in the game. They do eliminate the desire to ever use vehicles though. Also the driving leaves a lot to be desired anyway, so maybe for the best. The graphics are pretty average. Its a fun game, but certainly not worth dishing out more than the $30 i paid for it. It they could incorporate the powers into a game with GTA V levels of graphics and design that would be amazing.

Welp, in an odd move I know, I have the National Treasure Edition pre-ordered at Best Buy and they are releasing it on tuesday 7/15. $29.99 wasn't bad and I had to charge something on my Best Buy credit card or else it was going to be cancelled (I guess I hadn't charged anything on there in over a year, lol). But anyway, eager to see how good this is.

There's a collected edition? Didn't hear anything about it and Amazon doesn't even appear to have it. Weird. I still have the Commander in Chief Edition sitting on my shelf unplayed.

I read they released this version in Europe about a month or two ago i believe, so i knew it was coming. I asked in retailers and they seemed to know nothing about it until right up to the release date itself. It comes with all 10 DLC packs, so with the game for $30 its good value.

Yup, there is no point in driving in this game, but who cares. It's just fun to be so super powered.

I'm not interested in DLC that only contains new vehicles, weapons, or costumes, which in my experience is most of what they put out for Saints Row. I think I'll stick with what I have and just get any story/mission based DLC.
So given that, will the season pass give me everything I'm looking for? Looks like it's 10 bucks currently.

Finding the National Treasure Edition of Saints Row 4 proved to be a little difficult as Best Buy is not carrying it, neither is Target and it was out of stock on Amazon. However, I guess somebody was looking for me as I snagged a copy out of Walmart (last one at that location) and it rang up $19.96 rather than $29.96 like most places I've seen. Oh and it was not behind the glass case in mine, it was with the rest of the platinum games. But at least I have it now.

Some rumors floating about the SR4 will be on PS Plus next month. It might just be Europe, or it might be bullshit, but I'd still hold off on a purchase until we get an announcement (should be very soon).

Re: Saints Row 4
I’m revisiting Saints Row 4 for the first time since its initial release. I remember thinking that the game looked rough even on the PS3, and my first take on seeing the graphics even in the slightly updated Re-Elected edition was “oh no”, but it hasn’t really been a problem in practice.
What an infectiously fun game! Despite the recycled map, mission design that’s heavy on just completing open world tasks, and superpowers that pretty much break the game and render a lot of features pointless, I’m having such a great time. Despite what I wrote 12 years ago in this thread, I’m digging this more than the remaster of The Third.
What a drag to realize that Volition is gone and that we’ll almost certainly never get a Saints Row game like this again. (I’m in the camp that pretty well loved the reboot and even liked Agents of Mayhem more than most too!)
